With the global markets opening today, there has been some interesting movement in the WWE Backlash PPV on the WWE Network. Jinder Mahal, who became a heavy favorite at -1125 to defeat Randy Orton. It seems the wider market has issued a correction on this match, and while still favored Jinder’s chances have decreased to -405. This is one to keep an eye on as the world is now backing Orton with their money. Will the gamblers continue the trend of backing Orton?

Another wild shift leaves Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin in a dead heat, both “favored” at -120. This is what sports books generally do when they can’t project a winner and big money wagered on either of these men would surely move the line.

Shinsuke Nakamura’s ridiculously favorable odds have been cut but are still strikingly impressive. Odds of -4500 downgraded to +2600 posits the question of why anyone is backing Ziggler at all.

Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles is unchanged seeing Kevin Owens with odds of -720. Styles earlier this week was favored to win, but the odds flipped completely this weekend.

These odds are all graded under “end of broadcast grading”. Often in WWE, the decision is reversed or a match is restarted after the initial decision is commonplace. The “end of broadcast grading” is designed to account these “Dusty Finish” situation.

WWE Backlash can be watched on the WWE Network on Sunday May 21 at 8PM EST. Pre-Show at 7PM EST. [clink id=”2″ target=”_blank”]Start your free month today[/clink]!

Who is the ‘Smart Money” Favoring for WWE Payback Tonight?

The following odds are from 5Dimes and represent the American Market. Currently Mastercard, American Express and Bitcoins are being accepted for deposits. Bets can be made for as low as 50 cent although there is never an obligation to place a wager or make a deposit to view and follow the ever changing odds. Visit 5Dimes by clicking here.

The smart odds appear to be in for WWE Payback tonight. These are very long odds considering we didn’t see lines like this for both Fastlane and Wrestlemania. With odds like this the most likely reason would be insider leaks, however with more people than ever now gambling on WWE this may just be result of who gamblers are backing heavily. Either way, there is always a chance of upsets based on bad information or last minute changes to finishes.

The Hardy Boyz and Bray Wyatt are the most favored out of anyone else on the card. Both Wyatt and the Raw Tag Team Champions have odds of -13500 and this is a 99.01% probability in both matches. While the Hardyz were always heavily favored all along, The early markets had Randy Orton as a heavy favorite to defeat Bray Wyatt. This was puzzling for several reasons. The first being that Randy Orton’s WWE Championship is not on the line. Next is the fact that this is a “House of Horrors” match and while we don’t know exactly what this match is, it is Bray Wyatt’s creation and specialty match so he should probably win this. Finally, due to the Superstar ShakeUp, Bray Wyatt is on the Raw brand. Wyatt winning what is now and interbrand match makes the most sense.

In the case of the Hardyz, these lines could suggest just how serious WWE is about a major run for the Hardyz. Historical booking patterns would usually suggest that those getting beat on TV leading up to PPV end up winning at the PPV. The Hardyz beat their opponents, Cesaro and Shaemus, in singles matches on Raw the past two weeks and yet are graded as underdogs. This is a very interesting anomaly.

As usual, the women’s division are the most volatile in terms of line moves. After being very close, Bayley was just yesterday favored at -4500 but now they’ve flipped completely as it is now Alexa Bliss favored at the same -4500 odds. As always, this does not mean Bliss wins the Raw Women’s Championship, as a DQ or Count Out win is always possible.

Braun Strowman has been favored all along to beat Roman Reigns and now has odds of -5960. The attack on Reigns really raised Strowman’s stock and fans are accepting him as a big deal and these odds are no surprise. Another talent that has been favored from the beginning and held on to it is Seth Rollins favored at -7500 to beat Samoa Joe. This should come as a shock, considering the major plans WWE seems to have for Joe, however good storytelling can turn key losses into a way to further build a character.

Kevin Owen had been heavily favored to retain the United States Championship in a Wrestlemania rematch against Chris Jericho. Now Jericho is favored at -9250 which is also puzzling because Y2J goes on tour with Fozzy very soon. Neville is favored to retain against Austin Aries at -9250.

On the preshow, Enzo Amore and Big Cass are favored to defeat Gallows and Anderson with odds of -7500. The odds can still change leading up to show as bets are being taken right up until the bell rings for each match. Below are the full odds, a minus sign indicates the favorites and the plus symbol for the underdogs. The number after is how favored or unfavored particular competitors are. These odds all fall under “end of broadcast ruling” or “end of preshow ruling” in the case of the preshow tag match. This is to account for when an initial finish is overruled to account for any “Dusty Finish”.

WWE Payback Betting Odds Project a Major Title Change

Paddy Power makes bets available only to The UK and Ireland. The odds can still be followed but anyone in the world however.

The betting odds for this Sunday’s Payback have been posted by Paddy Power, a sportsbook available in Ireland and The UK. A possible title change is projected at this point but the lines often change. This becomes more dramatic when odds are offered to the global market later in the week.

Early odds of 4/7(64% probability) see Alexa Bliss winning against Raw Women’s Champion Bayley. This does not necessarily mean Bayley loses the title in the event of a count out or DQ, but the bet would be graded as a win for Bliss. All other champions are currently projected to retain. Kevin Ovens is favored over Chris Jericho for the US Championship, Neville is favored to retain the Cruiserwieght Title against Austin Aries and the Hardyz are projected to retain the Raw Tag Titles against Cesaro and Sheamus.

Braun Strowman has odds of 1/2 ,or a nearly 67% probability. Booking patterns would suggest with the onslaught of abuse Braun has put Roman through that Reigns would get his revenge by beating Strowman in the match. This may not be the case as Braun did suffer a loss in a dumpster match with Kalisto on the go home Raw leading into Payback.

The House of Horrors match has odds favoring Randy Orton at 4/6(60% probability) against Bray Wyatt. This match is Wyatt’s creation, Raw is his home brand and Orton’s WWE Championship isn’t even on the line. A strong case can be made that Wyatt should be favored and the odds on this match could easily flip in the other direction.

Seth Rollins is a 4/9 favorite to defeat Samoa Joe and on the Kick Off Show, Enzo and Big Cass are 4/7 favorites to beat Gallows and Anderson.

Bets Being Taken For If WWE Will #FireJBL

The following European Market odds are from Paddy Power. Wagers are not available from all countries. Visit Paddy Power by clicking here

With the impressive amount of mainstream press related to JBL’s involvement in Mauro Ranallo’s sudden departure from longtime employer WWE, coupled with outcry from supporter’s of Mauro for JBL to be fired over this, Paddy Power has posted betting odds on if JBL will indeed be released from the WWE.

The odds have shifted and JBL is now favored at 8/15 to keep his job after all, or at least last until July, a 65% chance of keeping his job. This could be the result of several factors, the first being JBL being kept on television this week on Smackdown. One would think if the WWE was concerned about the situation that JBL would at least not be appearing while the controversy cools off. Instead, it’s business as usual.

Another factor is the recent news of Mauro’s management being in talks with WWE about a settlement with Mauro. It is rumored that part of the settlement would be a non-disclosure agreement meaning Mauro wouldn’t be able to publicly talk about the JBL situation or negatively about the WWE. If there was a plan to terminate JBL’s contract, would the WWE really be discussing a settlement?

Will JBL Still be Contracted to the WWE on July 1st 2017?

Will JBL Still Be Under Contract on 7/1/17? April 15
YES 8/15
NO 11/8

The WWE appears to have no plans of removing JBL from his various duties in the WWE as they have not taken him off of television yet. He continued his regular task of being a commentator for Smackdown Live on Tuesday nights this week and there seems to be no plans to punish him for accusations that JBL bullied Mauro into not showing up for his bookings as a broadcast partner with JBL. Ranallo is not expected to be returning to the company and many are blaming JBL.

Threat of canceled subscriptions to the WWE Network by irate critics of JBL along with continued coverage by mainstream media may cause the WWE to reconsider keeping JBL employed. Ultimately WWE answers to it’s stockholders and if having JBL on the payroll hurts the company’s stock, there may be no choice but to release him from his contract.

It will be very interesting to see what outcome will be backed by gamblers. July is almost two months away and these odds could potentially move significantly in wither direction. Unfortunately for JBL, these odds being posted by Paddy Power will only serve to keep this public relations nightmare for what already is looking to be a story that won’t die. The longer this situation remains in the headlines the worse JBL’s chances of staying out of the unemployment line become.

Latest Wrestlemania Odds, New Andre Battle Royal Favorite, Returning Former Champion to Regain?

The following odds are from 5Dimes and represent the American Market. Currently Mastercard, American Express and Bitcoins are being accepted for deposits. Bets can be made for as low as 50 cent although there is never an obligation to place a wager or make a deposit to view and follow the ever changing odds. Visit 5Dimes by clicking here.

Updated betting odds for the early afternoon of Wrestlemania Sunday have set mandates for projected winners of most Wrestlemania matches and a few have become too close to call at this point. With the extent these lines have moved in many cases it has looked like this is what the “smart money odds” would look like if they even come in at all. Last month’s Fastlane had 3 upsets, which is unheard of and many speculated the smart money never came in, while it could be that with more bettors wagering these days the lines can withstand the inside betting and still maintain a “balanced book”.

Braun Strowman has been favored all along to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, but now it looks like Sami Zayn would be the projected winner at -210 to Strowman’s significant drop to -110. To put these odds in perspective, to win $100 would take a $110 bet on Braun or a $210 bet on Sami. Other movers and shakers in contention to win are wither member of American Alpha, each individually with odds +4500. Mojo Rawley has some of the best odds at +3000, due to speculation that his New England Patriot’s friend Rob Gronowski will have a featured appearance.

The returning Naomi is now favored to regain the Smackdown Women’s Championship at -530. The only other woman with respectable odds in this match currently in Carmella at +320, most likely based on the popularity of her act with James Ellsworth.

It seemed to be a given the Enzo Amore and Big Cass would finally have their big title win in Orlando where they became popular it being the home base of NXT. Enzo and Cass are still favored at -175 but this is actually a huge downgrade for their chances. The majority of these matches have moved in a direction of lopsided and the RAW tag titles are an exception. At +168, Cesaro and Sheamus seem to have a fighting chance.

All of these odds fall under “End of Broadcast Grading” or “End of Preshow Grading” which would be the final announced result to account for a “Dusty Finish”. Often times “Initial Ruling Grading” is offered closer to show as well.

My #WWEFastlane Predictions

Despite what the odds say, we always like to predict for the upcoming PPV’s. WWE Fastlane is tomorrow, here are my thoughts!

Predictions:

Rich Swann & Akira Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick & Noam Dar (Kickoff Match)
I am really looking forward to this match up, as I love watching these guys wrestle. These are all well rounded workers, but from recent WWE TV we can see that Kendrick and Dar, don’t seem to care much for rules. So I give it to Swann and Tozawa by DQ.

Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax
Nia Jax is a powerful and intimidating force in the WWE women’s division. Sasha Banks, the former champion, has a lot to overcome in this battle. Can she outwit Jax, as she certainly cannot overpower her. I give this one to Nia Jax

Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass
Have I told you guys how much I hate the gimmick of Gallows and Anderson? I really really hate their appearance. They look like neo nazi’s. Despite my hating on their gimmick, I do like watching them wrestle. I think this match is going to be one of the highlights of the night. Cass and Amore may be able to overcome Gallows and Anderson based on their strong bond as tag team partners, and friends, as long as they are careful that Amore doesn’t get cornered by Gallows and Anderson, as they would quickly undo him. I give this to Big Cass and Enzo Amore, to capture the tag championship!

Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs. Jack Gallagher
This match has interference written all over it. If these two get through the entire match without Dar or Kendrick interfering I would be shocked. That being said, I also wonder if Gallagher’s unorthodox style is enough to overcome Neville who seems to be the most powerful cruiser weight in the division.  I think Neville will retain the Cruiserweight championship.

Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe
I know people love Samoa Joe, and I do not deny he is a good wrestler, but I never got the hype. These guys should work well off each other, I see a lot of back and forth in this match as long as Zayn doesn’t allow himself to be overpowered early on. I think Samoa Joe will win this match up.

Raw Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair
Charlotte is hungry to regain the Women’s Championship. Will Bayley be able to overcome Charlotte’s well known history of following in her fathers cheating footsteps. Charlotte will try to capture the belt by any means necessary, I see Charlotte taking the win, and potentially facing Nia Jax at Wrestlemania.

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
These two are going to tear the building down. I have a feeling at least one announce table will be destroyed during this match, and these two will brawl where ever they see fit. It’s hard for me to determine who will win this match up, but I am personally pulling for Reigns.

Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. Goldberg
I hate to keep complaining, but Goldberg is still hella boring. I really could care less about this match. I choose Owens, because putting the title on Goldberg seems hella stupid. But this being WWE they might just do that.

royal rumble 2017 eliminations

Who’s Favored to Have The Most Royal Rumble Eliminations?

Other than winning the Royal Rumble itself and clinching a title shot at Wrestlemania, the honor and glory of scoring the most eliminations is the only consolation that can be attained Whoever eliminates the most opponents during the 30 man rumble historically have had bright futures.

Take Diesel in 1994. While he didn’t outright win the rumble, he as a newcomer to the WWE made a name for himself by eliminating 7 men. This is same number of eliminations by another newcomer, Yokozuna who did end up winning the rumble and went on to defeat Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 9 for the WWF Championship.

Dielsel Beats Up Virgil

Kane set a new record at 11 eliminations in 2001 and this record wouldn’t be broken until 2014 by Roman Reigns. Reigns lost that year’s rumble but redeemed himself by winning it all in 2015. Roman would go on to win the WWE Championship 3 times and The United States Title once since then. He is currently set to challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at this month’s Royal Rumble on the WWE Network.

Based in Ireland, Paddy Power is offering odds on who will eliminate the most opponents and currently the best odds are on Braun Strowman with odds of 1/2. This means a successful $2 bet would yield only $1. That’s how strong this forecast is at the moment. The actual probability would be a 66% chance of Braun throwing the most men out. Strowman also has the best odds and is tied with The Undertaker to win the entire rumble at 3/1, but that’s only a 33% probability as opposed to the 66% to get the most eliminations. The machine is clearly behind Strowman.

Samoa Joe has the second most favorable odds at 5/2, which would be a $2 bet to win $5. Rumors of Joe being fast tracked to a key Wrestlemania match are abound. He isn’t even on the main roster at this point nor has he even been announced as an entrant in the rumble. These odds beg the question of if someone has true, ironclad insider information or the hysteria over the gossip has forced the sportsbook to move the odds to maintain a “balanced book”.

Goldberg is currently at 4/1 and this is a recent sway of the odds as he was at 10/1 as of Sunday. This is the only line that moved as far as most eliminations go.

Baron Corbin is the next most favored at 11/1 and not far behind ties at 10/1 odds are Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor. Like Samoa Joe, Balor is has not been announced for the rumble. Finn is actually still healing from an injury sustained after a barrier bomb by Seth Rollins.

paddy power wwe royal rumble 2017

Here is the full list of odds from Paddy Power. You’ll notice some names that have not been announced for the rumble and a bet and these odds do not guarantee an appearance in the match. This is “All in, Compete or Not” grading. The sportsbook keeps the wager in the event of the wrestler not competing. This is fair because in cases like Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and even Triple H, the speculation is factored into the odds and in some cases driving them.
