Presidential Debate Betting Odds

Believe it or not wagers are being taken for tonight’s Presidential Debate between Hillary Clinton and WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump based on phrases they will say and in some cases who will utter the words first. Here is a small sampling of the 115 things 5Dimes will allow wagers on tonight.

  • Hillary Clinton is favored to say “bigot” but not favored to say “Benghazi”, “Love Trumps Hate” or “deplorable”.
  • Donald Trump is favored to say “Bill Clinton” and “Build a Wall”, but unfavored to say “Monica Lewinsky”, “Shut Up”, “Rotten Clinton” or “Crooked Hillary”.
  • Neither Candidate is favored to say “Gambling”, “Facebook”, “Instagram”, “Woman Card” or “Muslim Ban”.
  • Either Candidate is favored to say “Trump University”, “Supreme Court”, “Tax Return”, “Twitter” or “Global Warming”.
  • Trump is favored to say “Obama” more times than Hillary.
  • Hillary is favored to say “White House” before Trump does.
  • Hillary is favored to say “Economy” more times than Trump.
  • Trump is favored to say “China” before Hillary does.

This is only the first of 3 scheduled debates and bets as low as fifty cents can be made at 5Dimes as it, like WWE, is considered exotic betting. You must register to view the betting odds but no credit card is necessary and there is never an obligation to wager.

Clash of Champions Betting Odds are Finally Here!

5Dimes has finally set the lines for Sunday’s Clash of Champions. The lines changed very quickly from the initial setting.

WWE Universal Championship

Kevin Owens -1050 vs Seth Rollins +550

No surprise here with Owens just winning the title recently and taking a loss to Roman Reigns in a cage match on the go home edition of RAW. Typically a loss on the go home show almost always leads to a victory on the PPV events. Still, Rollins at +550 is tempting as even though he went to a draw with Rusev on RAW, he is considered to have gotten the better off Rusev by jumping of of the announce table onto Rusev. Also, as always, a Rollins win does not necessarily mean a title change with the possibility of a DQ or count out loss, although that would be unlikely with this match likely to go on last.

WWE United States Championship

Rusev +480 vs Roman Reigns -840

Surprising that Roman is favored here with him winning the cage match Monday and with Rusev appearing weaker in his match with Seth Rollins on RAW.

WWE Tag Team Championships

The New Day +330 vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson -490

The New Day’s long title reign is probably ending this Sunday and it makes sense as Gallows and Anderson need to get the titles to stay relevant.

WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match

Charlotte -390 vs Sasha Banks +270 vs Bayley +270 (Sasha Banks and Bayley are considered in the “field”, meaning a wager placed against Charlotte includes either woman at +270)

This is tough to call and while it’s tempting to take the field and get two underdogs for the price of one, expect the cunning Charlotte to play Sasha and Bayley against each other and squeak out a victory while everyone involved is not weakened in the least.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

T.J. Perkins -930 vs Brian Kendrick +510

T.J. Is heavily favored here and Kendrick is probably only in this match because he is a familiar face within the WWE history that can lend that credibility to the new cruiserweight division and champion.

Alicia Fox +850 vs Nia Jax -1750

No secret that Nia is being built into a monster so the lines aren’t shocking. Still, with Alicia being knocked unconcious and left laying by Nia gives a sliver of hope that she could make things interesting by pulling off a fluke here

Best of 7 Finals

Cesaro +185 vs Sheamus -265

The thought here is that Cesaro isn’t in the favor of management and that Sheamus is too valuable to lose this based on how much he gets paid as a downside guarentee.

Sami Zayn -560 vs Chris Jericho +370

These odds make total sense but Jericho has become one of those rare performers that pull off unexpected wins like he did at Wrestlemania 32 against AJ Styles.

These lines can be followed at 5Dimes and all of the above lines are under the “end of broadcast ruling” clause, meaning if the result is reversed before the ending of the PPV then that is the result 5Dimes recognizes.

Here is an idea of what better $1 on everyone would make on a win.

WWE Backlash LIVE RESULTS

Baron Corbin defeated Apollo Crews

In an unadvertised pre-show match Apollo Crews took on Baron Corbin. The match showcased Apollo’s athleticism and Corbin’s Brutality. A king-sized Lariat was only about to put down Crews for a two count, followed by Apollo administering an angle Slam for another 2 count. Baron manages to hit a Deep Six for another nearfall shortly before finishing off Crews with an End of Days. No line was set for this match but it was nothing less than competitive as Baron continues to regain his momentum.

A nice tribute for the fifteen year anniversary of 9/11 is shown to start the PPV.

Shane McMahon’s music hits and he enters the ring to the usual fanfare and Daniel Bryan does the same. They thank the audience before explaining what’s on the plate for Backlash despite everyone already being sold on the event, having bought a ticket. The 6-Pack Women’s Championship starts thankfully. Becky Lynch is a massive favorite at -1050 as the lines closed for this bout for the “Big Blue”.

All the women brought a significant contribution to this match, which set the tone for the PPV and may end up stealing the show altogether. A satisfying subplot with Nikki Bella and Carmella being kept apart for a decent part of the match. Alexa Bliss stepped it up a notch, hitting the Glitz Flip better than she ever has and adding superlative vocalization to the match. Naomi utilized the Cattle Mutilation and pulled off a daring Springboard Dive to the outside. Natalya seemed to be controlling traffic in this match, but in the end it was Becky’s night.

Becky Lynch defeated Nikki Bella, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Natalya and Carmella

Natalya powerbombed Alexa Bliss while at the same time Naomi hit a blockbuster. Naomi gets the pin on Bliss. Shortly thereafter Naomi taps out to a Sharpshooter by Natalya. Nikki pins Natty after hitting her new finisher and Carmella sneaks a quick pin on Bella. Becky and Carmella are the last two women and after a series of suplexes, Becky submits Carmella with The Disarmer. No upset here as Becky is the first WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion.

The Usos defeated The Hype Bros

The Usos have a new look to go with their heel persona and are favored here. The Hype Bros showed a plethora of fire here but Zack Ryder ended up tapping out to a half crab as the Usos advance.

The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler

A masterfully crafted epic with a captivating backstory. The Miz has totally reinvented himself and is developing a mean streak that hasn’t been seen of him before. His attack on Ziggler’s leg ended up being the story arc of the match. Dolph fought convincingly from underneath, even evading the pangs of a figure 4 leglock. It would take interference by Maryse and a foreign object to grant Miz the opening to deliver the skull crushing finale and retain his Intercontinental Championship. Immediately before the match The Miz was favored heavily, although this match flipped in both directions over the weekend.

Kane defeats Bray Wyatt in a No Holds Barred Match

Bray picks up a win against Bray by forfeit and is issued a new opponent in Kane. Lack of build hurt the chances of this being a memorable match, although seeing a senton putting Kane through the announce table was enjoyable. Orton shows up and hits an RKO on Wyatt and Kane follows up with a chokeslam for the win. There were not any odds on this match because it was announced on the spot. The Orton match ended up being canceled with no action taken by sportsbooks.

Heath Slater and Rhyno defeat The Usos to become the first ever Smackdown Tag Team Champions

The Usos are embracing being villains and Heath Slater is more beloved by this crowd than ever before. Slater nearly gets the cover after a leaping DDT but the pin is broken up and after Rhyno manages to sneak in a Gore behind the referees back, Heath scored the pinfall and champions are crowned.

AJ Styles defeats Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship

Previously, Heath Slater & Rhyno were underdogs and now they are strongly favored to win the Tag Team championship Tournament. Also, lines have been issued on the Hype Bros vs Usos match to advance to the finals.

Dean Ambrose vs AJ Styles Announced For WWE Backlash

After a decisive victory over former 15 time World Champion John Cena at Summerslam, AJ Styles now considers himself as “the face that runs the place” and #1 contender to the WWE Championship. Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan couldn’t agree more and made the match for Backlash, Smackdown Live’s first ever exclusive pay-per-view available at the WWE Network.

Bryan also forced AJ to wrestle Dolph Ziggler on Smackdown with the stipulation being that Ziggler would be competing for entry into the Backlash Title Match making it a Triple Threat. Styles destroyed Ziggler with a Styles Clash and has champion Dean Ambrose all to himself.

While many consider AJ Styles to be the best wrestler in the world currently, Dean Ambrose has been a strong champion since winning Money in the Bank, cashing in on Seth Rollins that night and ultimately pinning Roman Reigns in the Shield’s Triple Threat Match. Dean also successfully defended the WWE Championship in a multitude of instances around the globe including WWE Summerslam against Dolph Ziggler. Now that AJ has become acclimated with a WWE ring, this appears to be the most threatening challenger to date for Ambrose.
