Fastlane Odds – Will Kevin Owens Stop Goldberg’s Comeback

The following European Market odds are from Paddy Power. Wagers are not available from all countries. Visit Paddy Power [clink id=”14″]by clicking here[/clink].

Odds are in from the Irish sportsbook Paddy Power for the WWE Fastlane main event and a new Universal Champion looks probable. Goldberg is currently at 1/10, making him a heavy favorite. Current champion Kevin Owens is actually the underdog at 5/1. Remember, a Goldberg win doesn’t necessarily mean he walks out as champion because a count out or disqualification is a possibility.

Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar has been announced for Wrestlemania and it’s rumored to be the match that closes the event. Goldberg has been dominant in his comeback and Fastlane shouldn’t be any different.

WWE Elimination Chamber Odds – Who is Favored to Walk Out Champion?

The following European Market odds are from Paddy Power. Wagers are not available from all countries. Visit Paddy Power [clink id=”14″]by clicking here[/clink].

Irish sportsbook Paddy Power suggests that Sunday’s Elimination Chamber will crown a new WWE Champion in Bray Wyatt who has 1/10 odds. This means there is a 90% percent chance of Wyatt winning the chamber match and this is driven by the tentative Wrestlemania match of Bray vs Randy Orton. With Orton being number one contender, Wyatt would need to be champion for this match to be possible.

John Cena, who is going into the chamber as champion, has odds of 5/1, which is a 20% chance of retaining. Cena is rumored to be teaming with girlfriend Nikki Bella at Wrestlemania, leaving himself preoccupied to defend the championship against Randy.

The European market have also added odds on some of the undercard matches with Randy Orton,  Nikki Bella, Mickie James and the team of Kalisto and Apollo Crews all currently favored to win their respective matches.

The other participants odds of winning are listed below and to understand the European fractional odds, there is a fast and easy formula, The number or the left would be won if the number on the right is risked. For example a $9 wager on Wyatt at 1/9 would only yield $1, but a $1 bet on Dean Ambrose could win $18. Once again this is the European Market and the American Market is expected to be live any day. Preshow matches have had odds set and because they were recently posted they haven’t moved like the matches that were posted earlier in the weeks. All are under “end of preshow broadcast grading” to account for a possible “Dusty Finish” in the case an initial decision is reversed or a match is restarted.

A brief explanation on how to read the lines. These are known as “American Odds” or Moneyline and the minus sign is to indicate the favorite and the plus for the underdog. A $100 bet on Sasha Banks at +365 would win $365 because she’s the underdog. At -555, it would take a $555 wager on Nia Jax just to yield $100 because she is favored.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
Cesaro & Sheamus -140 vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson +100

Six Woman Tag Team Match
Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella and Naomi -530 vs Alexa Bliss, Mickie Jame and Natalya +350

Singles Match
Sasha Banks +600 vs Nia Jax -1200

The odds for the matches posted earlier in the week have moved and even flipped in the case of the Universal Championship Match, but the “smart money odds” have not been entirely determined yet. This should happen sometime before the event. They are currently fluctuating in either direction.

WWE Championship
AJ Styles(c) +550 vs John Cena -1050

WWE Universal Championship
Kevin Owens(c) -1500 vs Roman Reigns +700

WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair(c) -1500 vs Bayley +700

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Rich Swann(c) +650 vs Neville -1350

Randy Orton is still the odds on favorite to win the Royal Rumble at -1200. Orton is so favored right now that a bet on “the field” is +600. This means you can bet against Orton and if anyone else wins the wager is successful.

Royal Rumble “Special Bets” from European Market

The European Market is offering “Special Bets” on the Royal Rumble match with odds on events that could occur during the match. These are from Paddy Power, an Irish sports book known for bizarre and sometimes controversial odds for exotic and novelty betting.

A brief and simple explanation on how to understand these fractional odds. The number on the right if risked would return winnings of the number on the left. So a $6 bet on Sami Zayn lasting the longest in the rumble would yield $5 if the bet is won. Based on these odds, it’s more likely to happen than not. The other extreme would be James Ellsworth’s 33/1 odds on eliminating Goldberg. In this case a $1 bet would win $33 because it’s not very likely to happen.

Check these out for yourself because new special bets may be added and the ones that already exist could move in one direction or another by [clink id=”14″]clicking here to visit[/clink] Paddy Power

Donald Trump WWE Royal Rumble

Donald Trump’s Odds of Winning WWE Royal Rumble

Artwork Credit – Pauly Popolizio of iwanttodrawyourface.com

Believe it or not United States President Donald J Trump has odds for this Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble. 30 men compete in an over the top rope rumble and the winner gets a championship title shot at Wrestlemania 33. Trump has odds of 1000/1 to win the match and he’s not even scheduled to be in attendance. To put this in perspective a $1 bet could win $1000. Former President Barack Obama has the same odds. The same sports book is offering odds on Donald Trump being given honorary knighthood by the United Kingdom. These can be found under the novelties section of the sports book Paddy Power and can be visited by [clink id=”14″]clicking here[/clink]. This is an Irish sportbook and does not take wagers from the United States and Canada but does in many other nations.

[huge_it_forms id=”1″]
This wouldn’t the President’s first time getting involved with the WWE however, Donald hosted Wrestlemania IV and V at Trump Plaza. Trump would also be the top attraction for Wrestlemania 23 in the “Battle of the Billionaires” and defeated WWE Owner Vince McMahon. The two Billionaires recruited a WWE Superstar to do battle for them by proxy in the squared circle in front of a sellout audience of 80,103, the largest crows ever at Ford Field in Detroit. McMahon chose Umaga, a 6’4″, 350 pound Samoan-American. Trump answered by selecting Bobby Lashley, a 6’3″ 278 pound 3-time Intercollegiate NAIA champion powerhouse. Both Vince and Donald agreed to put their hair on the line in this match. All of these moments can been seen by signing up for free to the WWE Network [clink id=”2″]by clicking here[/clink].

During the match itself, The Donald would end up clotheslining Vince on the floor outside the ring. Ultimately, Trump would be victorious when Lashley pinned Umaga in the middle of the ring. Afterwards, Lashley, Trump and special guest referee “Stone Cold” Steve Austin made good on the stipulation and shaved Mr. McMahon’s head in the ring.

Then there was an in ring celebration led by Austin passing out beers, which Trump accepted and poured out when “Stone Cold” wasn’t looking because The President abstains from alcohol. donald trump wrestlemaniaAustin would end up giving a stunner to Donald Trump. Trump’s people backstage advised him not to take the move, but in the end it was Donald’s decision and because of this we are bestowed the gift of one of the most memorable Wrestlemania moments of all time. Accomplished pay-per-view a buy rate of 1,048,000, a record that still stands today.

Trump would return to WWE, when he purchased WWE from Vince McMahon. The Donald showed up to run the June 22, 2009 edition of WWE RAW. Under Trump’s ownership and management, gave the ticket buying audience a full refund, rendering a free night of entertainment. He also rebooked the matches for the night so the WWE Universe got better entertainment. By the end of the night McMahon made a deal with The President to buy back the company for twice what he originally sold it for earlier that day.

The 2013 WWE Hall of Fame would see Donald Trump be inducted by Vince McMahon. He is the only President in the United States to ever be inducted. Also in that year’s class Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, Trish Stratus, Booker T and Mick Foley.

As far as the possibility of Trump winning this year’s Royal Rumble, it’s only a matter of showing up. If The President enters the match, it’s not imaginable that he would lose. That would guarantee an appearance at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando. Having just been sworn in 9 days before the rumble, it seems extremely unlikely that Donald would show up at all however. A Wrestlemania appearance is likely at some point, though this year is probably not the year. There is a fair chance he could show up in December for the WWE’s Annual Tribute to the Troops event, at least via satellite. There’s still the WWE connection because Linda McMahon, Vince’s wife, earned a position in The President’s cabinet as head of the Small Business Administration.

Odds Shift for WWE Universal Championship Match at Royal Rumble

The odds for the WWE Universal Championship match have flipped completely with Kevin Owens now being favored to retain. The odds were very close to begin with and there is still a relatively narrow margin, however no doubt something of interest occurred to cause this shift in the line. The most probable being heavy bets being placed on Owens moved the line to mantain a “balanced book”.

john cena and roman reigns tag team

Updated 2017 Royal Rumble Odds

As expected, the Royal Rumble odds have been moving erratically and currently Randy Orton is favored to win it all in the rumble itself. Both John Cena and Roman Reigns are favorites to win their championship matches against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship and Kevin Owen for the Universal Championship respectively. Both of these matches are very close in the odds however.

The RAW Women’s and the Cruiserweight Championships have much wider margins however. Charlotte is favored at -750 to beat Bayley which makes all the sense in the world based on Miss Flair being undefeated on PPV and that streak should hold until Wrestlemania at least based on the rumors.

Neville is heavily favored to attain victory against Rich Swann at -900 and this would be appropriate with his heel turn being so well received. Keeping the momentum would be the smartest move as far as Neville is concerned. [clink id=”1″]

Dave Meltzer Influences the Royal Rumble Odds

Dave Meltzer, arguable the most respected journalist in pro wrestling and head of The Wrestling Observer, has influenced the Royal Rumble odds by his reporting of what he has learned from his backstage sources. The idea here is that Bray Wyatt will win the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber, a Smackdown branded PPV. Originally, when we learned this the thought had been that The Rumble winner would obviously and definitely be from the RAW roster as the speculation suggests that the Elimination Chamber would be for a WWE Championship title shot at Wrestlemania. RAW’s Universal Championship, by this point, would have been determined already based on a Rumble win. These predictions were shook up when it was announced the the WWE Championship would actually be defended in the Chamber instead of being for the number one contendership.

Meltzer put out the concept of Wyatt going into Mania as champion and that Randy Orton would be the challenger, meaning he is set to win the Rumble. Orton joined the Wyatt family last year, but his explosive personality disorder and the fact that it’s not really fitting for his “Viper” character indicates that he cannot last as the “servile puppy dog” of Wyatt for very long.

[huge_it_forms id=”1″]

Dave also put out the idea that the two major titles would not be kept on Kevin Owens and AJ Styles going into Wrestlemania and now both of those title matches at Royal Rumble have odds against the champions leading to what many consider a “nightmare scenario” with Roman Reigns and John Cena as the WWE Universal Champions and WWE Champion respectively.

This reporting has influenced the odds with Randy Orton now the favorite with even odds at the moment from Paddy Power, which caters to the European market. For the American market Orton has risen to most favored at +275 and this can been seen at 5Dimes. How people bet results in “moving the lines” so sports books can maintain a balanced book.
