Betting Odds on Cena vs Nakamura for This Tuesday on Smackdown Live

The following odds are sourced from 5Dimes. Bets are taken from players worldwide.

Bet on Cena vs Nakamura on Smackdown

For the first time ever, bets are being taken for a WWE televised match, as opposed to odds only being offered on PPV matches that we have seen in the past. This may become a trend, but for now it’s limited to one match only and it is a match with high stakes. The match being the first ever match between John Cena and Shinuke Nakamura and the states being which competitor goes on to challenge WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam. The match in question will happen live on Smackdown, Tuesday August 1.

Not only are there high stakes in this match, but this is also a much discussed “dream match” that has been discussed ever since Nakamura joined the WWE’s developmental program last year. Once would assume this match would be huge enough to be on PPV itself, and it definitely is. This match is probably drawing more interest than either Cena or Nakamura would challenging Mahal for the championship.

The television ratings as of recent have approached abysmal levels and this match may be designed to be broadcasted live on Smackdown to attempt to correct these low ratings. With sports books taking notice enough to designate odds this is a strong indication that WWE will succeed with this attraction.

Right now John Cena is slightly favored at -145 to Nakamura’s +105. These odds are close and can be looked to as very close to even. To editorialize, the chances of a draw or non-finish leading to both men participating in the SummerSlam match challenging Jinder is a fair, if not likely, prediction. When gambling it must be mentioned that draws or non-finishes result in the bet being canceled and money refunded.

John Cena Teams Up with Shinsuke Nakamura

After the 205 Live broadcast Tuesday night, the dark match for the live audience saw the team Of John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura vs Rusev and Baron Corbin. While Nakamura vs Corbin has not yet been officially announced for Battleground, with the recent interactions between the two men this match seems to be inevitable. Both are currently being groomed to be top stars on the Smackdown roster and this match will be of extreme importance to both.

New WWE Network Collections

The WWE Network has added some exciting new choices in its “collections” section. Hall of Famer Razor Ramon has his own collections that are worth checking out. Another new addition is one that is going to get an insane amount of watch time because it is Piper’s Pit. Over 30 years arguable the number one talker in wrestling history is now available on the WWE Network.

Okada Backstage at RAW

After the New Japan G1 in California, IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada headed to Pheonix to visit Finn Balor at WWE RAW. Of course this drew speculation that Okada was in talks to join the WWE, but as mentioned he was simply visiting Balor. This has not been the first time Okada had appeared backstage at WWE as he was also at SummerSlam as a guest of Shinsuke Nakamura.

Kofi’s Massive Screw Up on Live Television

During the Smackdown Rap Battle between The New Day and The Usos, Kofi Kingston seriously botched a line concerning geometry. Kofi referred to a stop sign as a hexagon when the shape is actually an octagon. Kingston posted a video on Instagram mocking himself for the mistake, even editing in a photo of a New Day action figure set that included a stop sign.

 Another Tag Team Splitting Up?

During the Battle Royal on Smackdown, Mojo Rawley eliminated his tag team partner Zack Ryder. Many feel this will lead to the team splitting but it seems very difficult which would be doing the heel turn. Mojo is the aggressor, but his actions were appropriate given the “every man for himself” nature of a Battle Royal.  For what it’s worth, The Hype Bros were never intended to be a long-running tag team. It has certainly been an effective tactic in integrating Mojo to the main roster.

WWE Money in the Bank Predictions

Who is the Favorite to Win Money in the Bank? Betting Odds Set Early!

The following odds are from 5Dimes and represent the Global Market. Currently Mastercard, American Express and Bitcoins are being accepted for deposits. Bets can be made for as low as 50 cent although there is never an obligation to place a wager or make a deposit to view and follow the ever changing odds. Visit 5Dimes by clicking here.

WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV will be June 18, and already betting odds for the main event have been set by sports books. Of the six entrants in the MitB match itself, Baron Corbin stands apart from the pack as a favorite with odds of -190. This puts Corbin at a 65% probability to acquire the briefcase. A $165 wager would be needed to win $100.

Among the other wrestlers involved in this match Kevin Owens has the next best odds at +575, only a 15% probability. AJ Styles and Sami Zayn are not too far away from KO in their chances for winning at +600. Shinsuke Nakamura has odds of +700 and the dark horse, Dolph Ziggler has very slim chances at +2500. Putting Dolph’s odds in perspective, a successful $100 bet would yield a massive $2500.

There are several other announced matches at Money in the Bank, however the men’s MitB is the only one that has odds posted as of press time. The others will most likely be posted the week of the event. It is rare for matches to have betting odds available this early in the game, but Baron Corbin was rumored to be winning it months ago, before any participants had even been announced so there is precedent for setting these lines. The informed prediction would suggest that the odds will move even further in the direction of Corbin and right now could be the best possible bet anyone will be able to make on him before his odds get longer.

WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Baron Corbin -190

Kevin Owens +575

AJ Styles +600

Sami Zayn +600

Shinsuke Nakamura +700

Dolph Ziggler +2500

Who Has the Best Odds at WWE Money in the Bank 2017?

[clink id=”68″ target=”_blank”]Grosvenor Casinos[/clink] makes bets available only to The UK and Ireland. The odds can still be followed but anyone in the world however.

Money in the Bank, a Smackdown exclusive PPV is nearly 2 months away and betting odds are already available for the MitB match itself, even though there have been no participants officially announced. Grosvenor Casinos has set odds on 16 potential winners and with 6 participants traditionally being set for these matches, obviously not all of these will be involved. On occasion WWE will allow more than 6 participants, however the most ever has been 10. This is not a reference to Tye Dillenger, who has odds of +2000, which is an under 5% probability of winning. A successful bet here would multiply their money by twenty-fold, so a $100 bet would win $2000.

So what happens to bets on wrestlers that never end up being in the match? Those bets would be graded as a loss because this is more of a prop bet based on potential of both being in the match and winning. Technically none of these choices are guaranteed to be entered in the match but realistically all the participants are likely to be from this lot.

It’s no secret that WWE is very serious about Baron Corbin becoming a top level player this year and a MitB win is plausible if not likely. At odds of +150, Corbin has the best chances out of anyone to take the briefcase and the right to cash it in for a WWE Championship title shot at a time of his choosing. This is a 40% chance of winning and from a field of 16 hopefuls, these are outstanding odds.

The next most favorable odds have been set for Shinsuke Nakamura at +200, a 33% probability. After great success in both NJPW and NXT, Nakamura finally made his way to the WWE main roster as part of the Superstar ShakeUp, joining the Smackdown Brand. With the big plans for Shinsuke eminent, a MitB win a few months into this run would solidify the “King of Strong Style” as a top level talent in the permanent title picture.

With odds of +250, or a 28% chance, Kevin Owens is the next most likely to win this match. He’s already proven that he not only can hang in the main event scene, but that he absolutely belongs there as he has built a reputation for delivering big time in top matches. After a well received reign as Universal Champion on Raw, Owens has joined Smackdown with sights on winning that brand’s most coveted prize.

AJ Styles, who has a nice title reign as WWE Champion recently, is 4th most likely at +400, a 20% probability. This would appear to be an undervaluation of Styles and because of this the lines could move in his favor if gamblers back him under his current odds. AJ, having just arrived in WWE last year, has never won a Money in the Bank match and this is an accomplishment that would be another feather in his cap.

Below is a full list of potential winner with their odds. These are expected to change as we near to MitB on June 18.

WWE Money in the Bank 2017 Betting Odds

Baron Corbin +150

Shinsuke Nakamura +200

Kevin Owens +250

AJ Styles +400

Sami Zayn +600

Rusev +800

John Cena +1000

Randy Orton +1000

Mojo Rawley +1400

Dolph Ziggler +1700

Big E +2000

Bets Being Taken For If WWE Will #FireJBL

The following European Market odds are from Paddy Power. Wagers are not available from all countries. Visit Paddy Power by clicking here

With the impressive amount of mainstream press related to JBL’s involvement in Mauro Ranallo’s sudden departure from longtime employer WWE, coupled with outcry from supporter’s of Mauro for JBL to be fired over this, Paddy Power has posted betting odds on if JBL will indeed be released from the WWE.

The odds have shifted and JBL is now favored at 8/15 to keep his job after all, or at least last until July, a 65% chance of keeping his job. This could be the result of several factors, the first being JBL being kept on television this week on Smackdown. One would think if the WWE was concerned about the situation that JBL would at least not be appearing while the controversy cools off. Instead, it’s business as usual.

Another factor is the recent news of Mauro’s management being in talks with WWE about a settlement with Mauro. It is rumored that part of the settlement would be a non-disclosure agreement meaning Mauro wouldn’t be able to publicly talk about the JBL situation or negatively about the WWE. If there was a plan to terminate JBL’s contract, would the WWE really be discussing a settlement?

Will JBL Still be Contracted to the WWE on July 1st 2017?

Will JBL Still Be Under Contract on 7/1/17? April 15
YES 8/15
NO 11/8

The WWE appears to have no plans of removing JBL from his various duties in the WWE as they have not taken him off of television yet. He continued his regular task of being a commentator for Smackdown Live on Tuesday nights this week and there seems to be no plans to punish him for accusations that JBL bullied Mauro into not showing up for his bookings as a broadcast partner with JBL. Ranallo is not expected to be returning to the company and many are blaming JBL.

Threat of canceled subscriptions to the WWE Network by irate critics of JBL along with continued coverage by mainstream media may cause the WWE to reconsider keeping JBL employed. Ultimately WWE answers to it’s stockholders and if having JBL on the payroll hurts the company’s stock, there may be no choice but to release him from his contract.

It will be very interesting to see what outcome will be backed by gamblers. July is almost two months away and these odds could potentially move significantly in wither direction. Unfortunately for JBL, these odds being posted by Paddy Power will only serve to keep this public relations nightmare for what already is looking to be a story that won’t die. The longer this situation remains in the headlines the worse JBL’s chances of staying out of the unemployment line become.

Total Divas – The Draft(Season 6, Episoide 11) Review

The E! Network has resumed season 6 of Total Divas after being on hiatus for 3 months. The 11th episode of the season aired earlier this week and 4 more episodes will be rolled out on a weekly basis to close out this season. Everything picks up right where it had left off before the hiatus bringing us to The Draft, the title of this episode.

The Draft, also known as the Brand Extension, actually took place in July of 2016 and this is a different look at the events happening around that time. This version sees the draft from the perspective of the women of the WWE and their concerns about what it could mean to their lives and careers.

Trinity, who is known as Naomi in WWE, is concerned that she and her husband John(Jimmy Uso) will be drafter to different brands, as Raw and Smackdown will now have separate rosters. Being drafted to different brands would mean they would be on different television shows and touring groups. The married couple would not be able to travel with each other and would not be seeing much of each other.

Lana has no fear of being separated from husband Rusev, as they would be drafted as a package deal due to Lana being Rusev’s manager as well as his spouse. She is mostly concerned she will be separated from her friends Trinity, Natalya, Maryse and Eva Marie.

Meanwhile Paige is stressing out over the idea of being split up with Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio at the time of filming had just started dating Paige, but Paige admits Alberto is the only man she has had such strong romantic feelings for. She is also on the injury list, but is eligible for the draft due to a promising recovery timetable.

Nikki Bella is also injured, but unlike Paige is not eligible for the draft. Much of this episode for Nikki revolves around her recovery and getting into ring shape. Bella is disturbed over Natalya’s reluctance to spar in the ring with her due to Nikki’s neck injury. This causes Bella is speculate on if the rest of the women would be as uncomfortable wrestling her. Would they all be afraid they would aggravate Bella’s injury?

Eva Marie is very excited about the draft as she had not been on television for awhile and sees the draft as an opportunity to be in the spotlight again.

The night of the draft comes and tensions rise. No one knows who will be drafted to what brand. One by one, Lana watches all her friends be drafted to Smackdown while she and Rusev are drafted to Raw. When The Usos are drafted to Smackdown, Trinity is on the edge of her seat until she is too drafted to the same brand as her husband. This is a huge relief for both Trinity and John.

Paige is sent into a mental breakdown as she watches boyfriend Alberto drafted to Smackdown, while she is sent to Raw. She feels she has lost the only person she ever loved. Eva Marie is finally drafted in the third hour to Smackdown, but for some reason believes she is going to Raw. This embarrasses her and she muses that now it will be “All Blue Everything” with Smackdown being known as the blue brand.

Natalya and Brie Bella meet to discuss Brie’s twin sister Nikki. After a brief chat Natalya comes to the conclusion that if Nikki’s doctors feel she is healthy enough to wrestle and Nikki herself is comfortable with a return, then it is safe to wrestle with her after all.

Because this footage was taped so far in advance, much has happened in the real world relevant to this episode. Alberto Del Rio was granted his release from the WWE, has gotten engaged to Paige and continues to wrestle outside the WWE. Paige has not yet returned to action.

Nikki Bella did in fact return to the ring and won a mixed tag team match at Wrestlemania. After the match, her tag team partner and longtime boyfriend John Cena proposed to her and Nikki said yes! Expect the proposal to be on future episodes of Total Bellas and Total Divas. The wedding planning and wedding itself will also be on these shows.

Eva Marie was not used much on Smackdown after being suspended due to a wellness violation for having adderall in her system. WWE will not renew Eva’s contact and she looks to be gone from the company and working on other projects.

Trinity, as Naomi in the WWE, has become a two time Smackdown Women’s Champion. After having to surrender the championship due to injury, she returned at Wrestlemania to regain the prestigious and well deserved symbol of excellence.
