  • ROH COO Joe Coff denied the rumors of WWE buying ROH and recounted that there was a willingness to allow ROH footage on the WWE Network.
  • WWE offered Conor McGregor to be part of this year’s Wrestlemania but Conor turned the deal down due to money issues.

  • The Hardy Boyz are said to be in serious talks to return to the WWE possibly as soon as Wrestlemania in Orlando.
  • WWE has been having secret meetings to purchase ROH. This has been going on since August and is mostly for the video library, however also could lead to ROH’s weekly show to air on the WWE Network
  • Shawn Michaels revealed on Sam Roberts’ Podcast that he was offered a match with AJ Styles at Wrestlemania that he turned down.
  • Natalya will be inducting Beth Pheonix into this year’s Hall of Fame.
  • Jerry Lawler, who owns the USWA Memphis video library, said on his podcast that it would absolutely be on the WWE Network in the future.
  • American Grit Season 2 with John Cena will start airing on Fox starting June 11.

  • A possible trade is in the works between Raw and Smackdown. AJ Styles could possibly be traded for all 3 members of the New Day. This would be the first trade ever in the current incarnation of the Brand Extension and the subsequesent Draft.
  • It has been announced that Kurt Angle will be inducted into the Hall of Fame by none other than John Cena.
  • There are rumblings that Jim Cornette could induct the Rock n’ Roll Express into the Hall of Fame. This would be a surreal event if it were to happen.
  • Rusev indeed underwent should surgery earlier this month and will be on the shelf 2 month. In the meantime Lana was sent to the Performance Center, the WWE’s training grounds.
  • Alexa Bliss may have some antimosity from management for what was considered a poor performance.
  • Luke Harper, on the Gorilla Position Podcast, stated he was frustrated being in the shadow as a Wyatt Family member and is bitter about not being in the Wrestlemania main event.
  • WWE is looking to have Roman Reigns main event Wrestlemania 34 and finally become the top draw in the company.

  • AJ Styles has been removed from the Smackdown roster section of the wwe.com roster and moved to the alumni section. This is to advance the him being fired from Smackdown by attacking Shane McMahon.
  • The WWE Network will debut Southpaw Championship Wrestling on Friday. This will be a comedy program spoofing Southern wrestling.
  • In a retraction from yesterday, it looks like william regal going into the Hall of Fame this year is untrue.
  • Erick Rowan has been cleared to return after recovering from a torn rotator cuff. He was backstage at the latest Smackdown, but did not appear on the show.
  • A recent NXT event poster did not feature Shinsuke Nakamura, adding fuel to the already rampant rumblings that he will be on the main roster very soon.
  • Eva Marie, who was recently released from the WWE, landed the cover of Flair Magazine Egypt.
  • WWE is once again honoring wrestlers from the Pioneer Era with the Legacy Wing of the 2017 Hall of Fame.
  • The Rock replied to a tweet and stated he was trying to get to Wrestlemania. He’s probably very busy right now.

  • Hulk Hogan is opening up another Hogan’s Beach Shop and will be doing autograph signings there the week of Wrestlemania from 3/29-4/4.

  • Shaq vs The Big Show has been nixed from WrestleMania 33 due to WWE and Shaq being unable to reach an agreement
  • There have been reports that cruiserweight Cedric Alexander has suffered a knee injury and will be on the shelf for 3-5 months.
  • Finn Balor, who made his return over the weekend on live events, was back stage at RAW Monday night but did not appear on the show itself. This is presumably to not share the spotlight with a returning Seth Rollins.
  • Jack Swagger has finally been granted his WWE release that was not not originally granted upon Swagger’s request.
  • Kane has been out of action resting his body and has requested time off to run for political office as he desires a Knox County Mayorial Seat in 2018.
  • Rusev is on the disabled list with an undisclosed injury. Speculation is that it’s his shoulder.

  • Randy Orton was involved in an incident with a picture seeking fan at a gym in Arkansas. After being interrupted in between sets Orton was photographed without his consent and allegedly delivered an obscenity laced tirade on the culprit.   • Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg is expected to go on last at Wrestlemania 33 as the true main event. This might lead to speculation that one of the two will become Universal Champion by the event.

 

  • Michael Cole is transitioning to an off-air backstage role in the future. He is currently grooming his potential replacements. Cole is still undefeated at Wrestlemania.

 

  • Speaking of Jerry Lawler, he will be announcing the Royal Rumble match itself at the PPV.

 

  • WWE Network is said be finalizing a deal to carry Insane Championship Wrestling, a top independent in the United Kingdom.

 

  • Darren Young has injured his right elbow after an apron bump in a match taped for Main Event vs Epico. No timetable available for recovery as of press time.

 

  • Tajiri is still out of commission from an knee injury sustained in early January in NXT.

  • According to The Wrestling Observer, The John Cena vs Undertaker match for Wrestlemania is scrapped. Taker will now face a RAW competitor, possibly Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns.
  • The Three matches for Mania that seem etched in stone are Seth Rollins vs Triple H, Shaq vs The Big Show and Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar.
  • Rumors matches are Kevin Owens vs Chris Jericho and a Fatal 4way for the RAW Women’s Championship between Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax.
  • Don’t expect Paige to be at Wrestlemania. She’s expected to return in Summer at the earliest.

The current crop being prepared are Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillenger, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Andrade “Cien” Alma, Alexander Wolfe, TM61, Hideo Itami, Kassius Ohno and Elias Sampson.
  • Brock Lesnar will be doing a Raw Live event in Buffalo, NY March 10 at the Kaybank Center.
