WWE Clash Of Champions Predictions!!

UPDATE – See the early betting odds for this event by clicking here!

It’s that time again! Sorry I have been really busy and not writing as much as I should be! I recently launched a new podcast about wrestling on an all-new internet radio station. I’ve been so busy I almost forgot the PPV was this Sunday!

You can watch it on the WWE Network for FREE if you are a new subscriber! If you live in the Boston area, you can still get tickets on Stubhub or TicketLiquidator, but as you already know, this will be a sold out show!

So here are my thoughts on the matches as they stand as of today:

Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley – MOJO!!!!!!! Need I say more?

Breezango vs. The Bludgeon Brothers – Oh Breezango, what have you gotten yourselves into? I think that Harper and Rowan are going to murder them.

United States Champion Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler (Triple Threat Match) – I am so looking forward to this match!!! All these guys are great wrestlers, and are hard-hitting wrestlers. I think that Bobby Roode does have the ability to take the belt away from Corbin, however, I don’t think it will happen in a 3-way match, especially where Ziggler is involved.

Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees) – Sigh. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY???? While I am sure this match will have its moment’s and I like all the guys involved, WHY???  Someone tell Owen and Zayn they are 6 years too late on the Occupy hype train, that crashed and burned 3 years ago fools. Lame. I don’t care who wins… this is stupid, fire whoever wrote this garbage, not Zayn and Owens.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable vs. Rusev & Aiden English (Fatal 4-Way Match) – I am so happy to see Shelton Benjamin back in action, even if he does have to team with Gable… (ha!) I think this match is gonna be your typical clusterfuck 4 way tag, with lots of broken bodies. The Uso’s will most likely retain…

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya (Lumberjack Match) – This match is going to be awesome! I love watching both these women wrestle, but sorry Charlotte, I gotta go with Nattie on this one! Get that title back on your waist where it belongs!!!

WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal – Sigh…. why? Wrestling was getting interesting again, and then we got slapped in the face with a momentum stopping bitchslap. I really don’t want to watch the same people wrestle again and again and again. Jinder lost… he is a cheater, and does he really deserve a rematch? Nah they won’t give us Styles vs Nakamura yet… But I would have much rather watched him wrestle Rusev than Mahal again. AJ will retain the championship, or WWE may be attempting to incite a riot in Boston.

While this is a “Smackdown” branded PPV, I am not as excited for it as I usually would be. The highlights of this PPV will be the women’s match and the tag team clusterfuck for me.

Survivor Series 2017 Predictions w/Update Goodness!

This Sunday is Survivor Series live at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas! Tickets are still available from StubHub and Ticket Liquidator, so get them now as they are sure to sell out!

The matches have shifted quite a bit since their announcements as we have two new Champions, as AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair replace Jinder Mahal and Natalya in their respective champion vs champion matchups. I am also super sad they released James Ellsworth, and if you share my sentiment, you should use the hashtag #BringBackEllsworth

So here are my thoughts on the matches as they stand as of the time of this writing!
Edit: 2 more matches announced, which i saw on nodq.com
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs Breezango (Pre-Show): Breeeeeeeezango! What more needs to be said?
Elias Sampson vs Matt Hardy (Pre-Show): I hope this is a sing off. No really, I do. I also think Matt will win with help from Jeff who will run in from the crowd.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
Enzo Amore (C) vs. Kalisto (Kickoff Match): We have already seen these two fight it out, and I think this will be an enjoyable match. Since people seem to truly despise Enzo in an out of the ring these days, there is a good chance he will retain the title.

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. United States Champion Baron Corbin: This is going to be a great match. I love Baron Corbin, and think he moves incredibly well for a big guy, and this is a great matchup. The outcome will be based on whether or not the Miztorage is at ringside. If they interfere, The Miz could be victorious. But who knows, Corbin may be smart enough to stomp them out early, leaving The Miz to fight on his own… My heart says Corbin, but my gut says The Miz.

Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos: Really Looking forward to this match. I think it’s going to be a lot of fast-paced fun, with some huge tag team moves. I think Cesaro and Sheamus will take this one.

The Shield vs. The New Day: The Sheild is reunited once more, now that Roman Reigns has returned, but will their newly rekindled alliance be enough to overcome the incredible bond The New Day has built. I am going to be unpopular and say The New Day will be victorious.

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair: I really wanted to see Nattie tear Bliss apart, so now I guess we get to see Charlotte do it instead. Charlotte… duh

Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW: Sasha Banks, Asuka, Alicia Fox, Nia Jaxx, Bayley
Team Smackdown: Naomi, Becky Lynch, Tamina, Carmella, and a 5th woman TBA:
BRING BACK PAIGE ALREADY YOU FOOLS! On that note, the 5th woman from team Smackdown could really make this… Not really sure which team will take this, but wth the current line up, I think team RAW may have this one…

Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW: Kurt Angle, HHH, Jason Jordan, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman
Team Smackdown: John Cena, Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Rhoode:
WHY DO WE HAVE TO SEE HHH AND SHANE IN THE SAME FUCKING MATCH? Is Stephanie going to be the secret 5th woman… UGH Its like those marks who buy a company to put themselves over… on that note… team RAW will probably win just because they have Strowman.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion AJ Styles (Champion vs. Champion Match) I don’t want to watch this match. Mostly because I still hate Lesnar, because he is boring and a shitty champ. And honestly its going to be a struggle for him to be in a believable match with Styles, who can wrestle circles around him. I say Styles, cause fuck Lesner.Overall I am Looking forward to the show, no matter the snarky tone I get when I write about the matches. Remember you can watch for FREE if you are a new subscriber to the WWE Network!

Hell in a Cell 2017 Predictions

Hell in a Cell is back! Tonight they are live from the Little Ceasars Arena in Detroit Michigan! At 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST! Betting odds are already out, and the lines are open until bell time on each match! Click here to check out the odds, and place your bets!

Here is the lineup and my thoughts:

Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin vs. The Hype Bros (Kickoff Match) – I am always happy to see Shelton Benjamin. I think this match is going to be a lot of fun to watch. I have a feeling the Hype Bros are going to take this one.

The Fashion Files will return at WWE Hell on a Cell – This is one of the best promo sequences they have done in years. I absolutely love this nonsense.

Randy Orton vs. Rusev – I am still sad that they have Lana and Rusev split up. This match has some potential to either be awesome or boring as fuck. I am hoping for the former. Orton will be victorious.

Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler – One of the matches on the card I am looking forward to. Loved the setup on Smackdown Live this week. These guys are going to put on one hell of a match. It’s hard for me to pick a winner on this one. If its pure wrestling ability I have to go with Roode, but knowing how diabolical Ziggler can be its kind of a toss-up. I will stick with Roode on this one.

United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin – Fun fact… my friend is doing cosplay dressed as AJ Styles right now at NYCC. She looks fabulous too. She even got the soccer mom hair to complete the look! I am looking forward to this match as well. Corbin moves incredibly well for a man of his size, AJ has a lot to contend with if he wants to hold onto the US title. I think we may see the title switch hands tonight with Baron Corbin walking away as the new US Champion.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya vs. Charlotte Flair – This is going to be awesome. I love both these ladies but as always I am rooting for Natalya!

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – Why isn’t this in a cage??? If anything this match NEEDS a cage to keep those bastards the Singh Brothers, out of the match. I was infuriated at the end of Summerslam. Since it’s not in a cage, Mahal may retain the Championship… my heart is still with Nakamura.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. The Usos (Hell in a Cell Match) – The Uso’s seem determined to get the titles back around their waists. The New Day have already proven to be formidable opponents.  We may see a title change, and I say that just due to the sheer ferocity of The Uso’s this week.

Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell Falls Count Anywhere Match) – Who will fall off the cage? Who will be put on the injured list for the next 6 months until Wrestlemania? Why would Shane winning this match matter at all? I guess you have to watch tonight to find out! I think Shane is going to take the win tonight.

Who is the ‘Smart Money” Favoring for WWE Payback Tonight?

The following odds are from 5Dimes and represent the American Market. Currently Mastercard, American Express and Bitcoins are being accepted for deposits. Bets can be made for as low as 50 cent although there is never an obligation to place a wager or make a deposit to view and follow the ever changing odds. Visit 5Dimes by clicking here.

The smart odds appear to be in for WWE Payback tonight. These are very long odds considering we didn’t see lines like this for both Fastlane and Wrestlemania. With odds like this the most likely reason would be insider leaks, however with more people than ever now gambling on WWE this may just be result of who gamblers are backing heavily. Either way, there is always a chance of upsets based on bad information or last minute changes to finishes.

The Hardy Boyz and Bray Wyatt are the most favored out of anyone else on the card. Both Wyatt and the Raw Tag Team Champions have odds of -13500 and this is a 99.01% probability in both matches. While the Hardyz were always heavily favored all along, The early markets had Randy Orton as a heavy favorite to defeat Bray Wyatt. This was puzzling for several reasons. The first being that Randy Orton’s WWE Championship is not on the line. Next is the fact that this is a “House of Horrors” match and while we don’t know exactly what this match is, it is Bray Wyatt’s creation and specialty match so he should probably win this. Finally, due to the Superstar ShakeUp, Bray Wyatt is on the Raw brand. Wyatt winning what is now and interbrand match makes the most sense.

In the case of the Hardyz, these lines could suggest just how serious WWE is about a major run for the Hardyz. Historical booking patterns would usually suggest that those getting beat on TV leading up to PPV end up winning at the PPV. The Hardyz beat their opponents, Cesaro and Shaemus, in singles matches on Raw the past two weeks and yet are graded as underdogs. This is a very interesting anomaly.

As usual, the women’s division are the most volatile in terms of line moves. After being very close, Bayley was just yesterday favored at -4500 but now they’ve flipped completely as it is now Alexa Bliss favored at the same -4500 odds. As always, this does not mean Bliss wins the Raw Women’s Championship, as a DQ or Count Out win is always possible.

Braun Strowman has been favored all along to beat Roman Reigns and now has odds of -5960. The attack on Reigns really raised Strowman’s stock and fans are accepting him as a big deal and these odds are no surprise. Another talent that has been favored from the beginning and held on to it is Seth Rollins favored at -7500 to beat Samoa Joe. This should come as a shock, considering the major plans WWE seems to have for Joe, however good storytelling can turn key losses into a way to further build a character.

Kevin Owen had been heavily favored to retain the United States Championship in a Wrestlemania rematch against Chris Jericho. Now Jericho is favored at -9250 which is also puzzling because Y2J goes on tour with Fozzy very soon. Neville is favored to retain against Austin Aries at -9250.

On the preshow, Enzo Amore and Big Cass are favored to defeat Gallows and Anderson with odds of -7500. The odds can still change leading up to show as bets are being taken right up until the bell rings for each match. Below are the full odds, a minus sign indicates the favorites and the plus symbol for the underdogs. The number after is how favored or unfavored particular competitors are. These odds all fall under “end of broadcast ruling” or “end of preshow ruling” in the case of the preshow tag match. This is to account for when an initial finish is overruled to account for any “Dusty Finish”.
