2018 WWE Fastlane Predictions

As always here are my picks for this years WWE Fastlane special event tonight! Early betting odds are already up, click here to check them out!

WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. John Cena vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler (Six-Pack Challenge Match) – why bother having this match if WWE won’t let these guys do what they do? I hope John Cena wins so everyone riots.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day – This match will be fun as always. I like all these guys and this match has a lot of promise. I think the Uso’s will retain the titles.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Ruby Riott – I have high hopes for this match. I like both women and think this could be a great match. Will outside interference cost Charlotte the title? Perhaps.

United States Champion Bobby Roode vs. Randy Orton – This matchup should be pretty decent. I like Bobby Roode a lot, and I feel like Randy Orton will be a great opponent for him, but I also think he will retain the US Championship!

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev – This is going to be a very sad Rusev Day. However, I feel like this match could be a lot of fun. I love both Nakamura and Rusev, and feel this will be a fun match. Nakamura should pick up the win.

Becky Lynch & Naomi vs. Natalya & Carmella – Again this will be a fun match, all these women are great, but this almost feels like a throwaway match. I hope they kill it. My money is on Nattie and Carmella!

The preshow is currently on, and by watching Carmella with her briefcase, and her body language, I would guess she is going to try to cash it in tonight after the lumberjack match.

Preshow:
Mojo Rawley vs Zack Ryder: Mojo runs out ready to tear someone apart. Ryder walks out to the ring looking pretty confident. Ryder hits Rawley with a dropkick right away,. then it quickly goes to the outside. There is some really exciting back and forth between these former tag team partners. Ryder seemed to be in control at first but has quickly run out of steam and Rawley has taken control. Ryder fights out of a choke hold to be tossed out of the ring. Rawley follows him out and runs him into the barricade… and commercial break for WWE Shop… WTF. When we come back Rawley has Ryder in another choke hold, Ryder fights out but gets taken down again by a big boot. Rawley is spending too much time shit talking and not enough time trying to pin Ryder. His shit talking giver Ryder enough time to recover and fight back. Ryder lays into him with forearms and a good knee to the face in the corner, Ryder gets a 2 count by Rawley gets his foot on the bottom rope.  Rawley gets his steam back and plows through Ryder, getting an easy 3 count. WELL DUH.

Main Card

US Championship Title Match
Baron Corbin(c) vs Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
I got stuck on a phone call but when I get back this shit is on fire. Ziggler is showing exactly what he is made of by taking control in this match, and so is Corbin by running away. Ziggler almost gets a pin on Roode but Corbin broke it up. Ziggler and Roode each get a hit on Corbin, Rood goes to give Ziggler his finisher and Corbin hit him with the deep 6 for the 2 count. Boston crowd is hot on Roode chanting for him. Roode gets Corbin down but Ziggler takes him out… a ton more shit happened, it was crazy Roode tries the glorious DDT but Ziggler counters and gets a 2 count pin on Roode. Holy shit too much happening. Ziggler gets sent into the turnbuckle, Roode hits the glorious DDT, but Corbin broke up the pin, and gave Roode a backbreaker on the outside. Corbin is about to take out Roode, Ziggler takes them both out, and gets the pin on Corbin to become the new US champion! HOLY SHIT! Congratz!

YES It’s RUSEV DAY!!!! (Everyday is Rusev Day!)
Aiden English comes out first and introduces Rusev, and then works on finishing the “12 days of Rusev” and its such a beautiful tribute the fans explode into Rusev Day chants! An extra verse is about to be added but then Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable come out to the ring… It’s time for the next match!

Smackdown Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Title Match
Rusev and Aiden English vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs The New Day vs The Uso’s(c)
The Usos are still doing the stupid penitentiary gimmick, I hate it. Please stop. So they are only letting 4 men in the ring at once, however quickly all men end up in the ring, then quickly cleared from the ring. This is a no DQ match, so all hell has broken loose, bodies flying everywhere. Shelton Benjamin gives Jimmy Uso a massive move from the top rope, it was awesome. Shelton Benjamin is now getting torn apart by Big E and Kofi. Rusev comes in but Kofi dropkicks him as well. Kofi is on fire and Big E is tossing him into each opponent, until Rusev cuts him off, goes after Jay Uso and almost gets a 2 count pin attempt. I guess there are “legal men” in the match but frankly, it’s too hard to follow. Its rest hold time, Gable has Kofi and English has one of the Usos in a hold. Now RUsev took over and is stomping said Uso…  Gable and Benjamin continue to work over Kofi. I don’t understand the rules to this match, its no DQ but only 4 men in the ring at once and anything outside the ring goes? DUDE WWE LOGIC IS GONNA MAKE MY BRAIN EXPLODE. Big E and Jay Uso take out English and Gable double cover 2 count, Jay and Big E start to brawl, the Usos clear the ring. Gable and Benjamin return to the ring and gable has Jay Uso in a Submission while Benjamin is protecting him from interference until English interferes and Rusev kick Gable in the head from the other side. Rusev and Gable are legal in the ring. Rusev gets the Accolade in but Big E breaks it up, but that’s broken up Rusev pins Big E for a 2 count, twice in a row… Rusev gets Big E in the Accolade now, and Big E is trying to fight out, but Rusev is stronger. Gable breaks it up by giving Rusev a nearly impossible suplex, he then takes English out and Gives Big E a suplex as well, the Usos come in and stop Gable to retain their championship titles. That was awesome even if the rules made no sense.

Smackdown Women’s Championship Match
LumberJack Match Charlotte vs Natalya
The Riot Squad, Carmella, Tamina w/Lana, Naomi, are at ringside as the lumberjacks.
As I said earlier in this article I think Carmella is going to cash in the money in the bank briefcase tonight. It’s a shame Ellsworth isn’t there to see it.The match starts off with some chaining then the two women go strike for strike, Natalya gets thrown out of the ring, and Naomi kicks her a few times, she gets back in and throws Charlotte out, and the girls jump on Charlotte on the outside. Nattie and Charlotte continue back and forth and Charlotte gets a neckbreaker for a 2 count on Nattie. Nattie isn’t slowed down much by this then put the boots to Charlotte, and send her outside but the riot squad sends her back in. Nattie keeps control, but and Charlotte is clearly getting abused, Nattie chokes her on the ropes, the ref breaks it up, Nattie is out but Carmella tosses her back in, Charlotte lights Nattie up with a bunch of chops, Nattie cuts her off, continuing her assault, she almost gets Charlotte in the sharpshooter, but Charlotte gets out before it’s locked in. Charlotte and Nattie end up on the outside, and all the other women Jump Charlotte. Nattie gets the sharpshooter locked in on Charlotte this time, the hold is broken, then all hell breaks loose, Charlotte does a huge moonsault off the top to the outside, everyone is down, but Nattie avoids it and beats on Charlotte some more. Nattie goes to put Charlotte in the sharpshooter, but Charlotte reverses and wins by submission. Nattie cuts a promo about being treated with nothing but disrespect. Well we still love you lady. Meow.

Breezango vs The Bludgeon Brothers
Poor Breezango. Looks like Harper and Rowan may kill them. Harper and Breeze start out, and Harper just knocks breeze down. Rowan is tagged in but chases Fandango outside, and when he does go to the ring, Breeze kicks him in the face. He is stunned for a moment, grabs Breeze, but Fandango cuts Rowan off. Harper comes to the other side of the ring to help his partner get this match on track. Harper and Rowan double team Breezes head into the canvas, he’s down. They then unleash hell on Fandango, ONE TWO THREE it’s over with Rowan getting the pin on Fandango. I guess Fashion Files has been canceled.

Speaking of canceled….

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura
w/ Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as “Special Guest Referees”
Watching the crowd do the “Yes” chant for DB makes me want to cry…
The match starts out with Orton and Zayn, and of course, both ref’s in the ring,  a little chain wrestling, then Orton goes for a quick pin, and both refs start counting at different paces, and Sami kicks out. Nakamura tags in and begins to chain with Zayn. Zayn backs him into the ropes and Shane immediately breaks it up. More back and forth but its already clear these duel special guest refs do not see eye to eye. Owens tags i and gives Nakamura some good chops, and then Nakamura turns it around and gets a 2ish count pin on Owens. But again the refs are not even remotely on the same count time. Now Shane and DB divide the ring and decide to make calls only on “their side”. This shit is hella distracting, and this match is overly gimmicky, and not in a fun stupid kinda way. Orton and Zayn are not working well together at all. It seems like Orton and Zayn may have heat IRL? I’m trying to muster up some care for this match, but it’s too hard. this is boring. Finally, its Owens and Nakamura and Nakamura took Owens out with an awesome kick and just begins to unload on him. Zayn tries to get on the apron but gets cut off by Nakamura, and then Nakamura turns back to Owens and just continues to unload on him. 3 count pin attempt on Owens. 2nd 2 count pin on Owens. Nakamura does some crazy rollup flip into a triangle armbar, and its awesome, Nakamura gets his shoulders down, and DB counts Shane gets mad. Owens tags Zayn in, Nakamura kicks him, but Zayn still lands the blue powerbomb on Nakamura. Owens tags in but is cut off by Orton,  and Zayn tries to get in too, and Shane pushes him out, Nakamura gets the tag, and Orton almost takes Zayn’s head off. Orton is now in control, Zayn is on the apron. Zayn tries to go to the top, but Orton cuts him off with a hit to the nuts, which DB calls as illegal and warns Orton. Orton gives Zayn a huge superplex and Owens pulls Orton outside. Nakamura then goes after Owens on the outside, Zayn comes out to help, both refs come out… everyone’s at ringside, this is more than a 10 count fools!  Utter insanity Owens sets Nakamura up on the table and gives him a huge splash. Everyone has been out of the ring for like 20 seconds or more… this match should technically be over… but sadly it isn’t. Zayn is back in the ring, and Orton gives him a huge power slam then hits him with a neckbreaker and an RKO, and Shane goes to make the call on the cover, he claims it was 3, DB says only 2, they are arguing, Orton is pissed, Owens gets in the ring, Orton hits him with an RKO too, Zayn rolls up Orton, and gets a 2 count, Orton reverses 2 count, Zayn gets Orton pinned again and Shane shoves them screwing the pin. DB is trying to throw Shane out of the match, Shane refuses, Zayn gets another roll up on Orton while he is distracted, and DV gives a super quick pin count like Shane had tried to do earlier in the match. Owens and Zayn are safe to see another Smackdown.

WWE Championship Match
AJ Styles(C) vs Jinder Mahal
The match starts off with some back and forth, and the crowd is already chanting “this is awful”. The Singh brothers are at ringside as always. I’ll have to agree with the crowd this is awful, and there is 35 more minutes of this shit show at the very least. Styles gets tossed into the ropes and falls to the floor. Mahal chases after him but AJ cuts him off. Mahal gets back in the ring to stop the count on himself, then oddly enough decides to to put AJ in then pulls him out again to throw him into the exposed barricade. Mahal beats AJ on the outside more, then tosses him back in, as falls only count in the ring. Mahal kicks AJ off the apron to the floor again, the Singh brothers aren’t going after him, Mahal picks up Styles and tosses him into the announce table. Mahal drags Styles back to the ring, and puts him in a crossface. Then hits him in the face after letting go. Jinder then gets Styles in a scissor lock from behind, crushing Styles ribs. Styles gets out and continues to fight, but Mahal once again reverses, and gives Styles a super awkward abdominal stretch. Styles fights out, Mahal continues to abuse him and shoulder tackles him to the face then goes to the second rope and punches Styles in the face as well. AJ manages to cut Mahal off with a dropkick, Mahal rolls out of the ring, and the ref is counting. Styles makes a come back, goes to springboard off the ropes, but Mahal grabs the ropes and Styles falls on his injured ribs. Mahal gets a gutbuster on STyles, for a 2 count pin attempt. Mahal sets styles up in the corner on the ropes and starts punching him, he wants to give Styles a suplex off the top, but Styles starts to counter, Mahal chokes him, and Styles drops him in and electric chair drop. both men are down, the ref is counting. Mahal barely gets up first, But styles is ready, Mahal cuts him off, but Styles isn’t down and takes Mahal out, both men are down again, and Styles splashes Mahal in the corner. Styles does this sick neckbreaker flip on Mahal, for a 2 count. Mahal takes control but Styles cuts him off with boots to the face, more back and forth, Mahal tosses AJ. Styles gets this sweet suplex for a 2 count, Mahal is still down, and Styles is kicking him in the face, Mahal counters, Mahal his a huge backdrop but Styles kicks out. AJ manages the pailei kick on Mahal. Mahal continues his assault, kneeing Styles, dropping him, kneeing him again for a 2 count. Mahal tries to choke styles from the top rope, Styles gives him a jawbreaker and drops him. Both men are down yet again. Max the cat keeps trying to count Mahal out… I feel you Max. The Singh bros get involved, Styles takes them out, then he springboards off the top, misses, and gets a kick to the back by Mahal. Mahal hits his finisher, and Styles just out after a 2 count. The fans in Boston are pissed. they are booking and chanting “this is awful” again, Styles locks in an ankle lock and Mahal taps out, AJ Styles retains the WWE Championship.

Overall there were little surprises except for Ziggler walking away with the US title. This was a mediocre event, and I hope we see better matches in 2018. Overall it wasn’t terrible, but the double ref gimmick was fucking stupid. ALso to hear people chant “this is awful” twice during an AJ Styles match should show WWE what they need to work on… like matchups people will actually care about.

WWE Clash Of Champions Predictions!!

UPDATE – See the early betting odds for this event by clicking here!

It’s that time again! Sorry I have been really busy and not writing as much as I should be! I recently launched a new podcast about wrestling on an all-new internet radio station. I’ve been so busy I almost forgot the PPV was this Sunday!

You can watch it on the WWE Network for FREE if you are a new subscriber! If you live in the Boston area, you can still get tickets on Stubhub or TicketLiquidator, but as you already know, this will be a sold out show!

So here are my thoughts on the matches as they stand as of today:

Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley – MOJO!!!!!!! Need I say more?

Breezango vs. The Bludgeon Brothers – Oh Breezango, what have you gotten yourselves into? I think that Harper and Rowan are going to murder them.

United States Champion Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler (Triple Threat Match) – I am so looking forward to this match!!! All these guys are great wrestlers, and are hard-hitting wrestlers. I think that Bobby Roode does have the ability to take the belt away from Corbin, however, I don’t think it will happen in a 3-way match, especially where Ziggler is involved.

Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees) – Sigh. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY???? While I am sure this match will have its moment’s and I like all the guys involved, WHY???  Someone tell Owen and Zayn they are 6 years too late on the Occupy hype train, that crashed and burned 3 years ago fools. Lame. I don’t care who wins… this is stupid, fire whoever wrote this garbage, not Zayn and Owens.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable vs. Rusev & Aiden English (Fatal 4-Way Match) – I am so happy to see Shelton Benjamin back in action, even if he does have to team with Gable… (ha!) I think this match is gonna be your typical clusterfuck 4 way tag, with lots of broken bodies. The Uso’s will most likely retain…

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya (Lumberjack Match) – This match is going to be awesome! I love watching both these women wrestle, but sorry Charlotte, I gotta go with Nattie on this one! Get that title back on your waist where it belongs!!!

WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal – Sigh…. why? Wrestling was getting interesting again, and then we got slapped in the face with a momentum stopping bitchslap. I really don’t want to watch the same people wrestle again and again and again. Jinder lost… he is a cheater, and does he really deserve a rematch? Nah they won’t give us Styles vs Nakamura yet… But I would have much rather watched him wrestle Rusev than Mahal again. AJ will retain the championship, or WWE may be attempting to incite a riot in Boston.

While this is a “Smackdown” branded PPV, I am not as excited for it as I usually would be. The highlights of this PPV will be the women’s match and the tag team clusterfuck for me.

Hell in a Cell 2017 Live Results

Once again we bring you the LIVE results for WWE Hell in a Cell! Remember you can place your bets until bell time on each match! My predictions can be found here.

PreShow:
Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin vs The Hype Bros:
Gable picks up the win for his team by pinfall!

Main Show:

The show opens with The New Day cutting a promo in the ring, in the cell.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship – Hell in a Cell Match
The New Day (c) vs The Usos:
Really surprised this is the kickoff match. Both teams immediately go for weapons conveniently stored under the ring. There are kendo sticks chains and all kinds of other weapons available and all 4 men are legal. Xavier Woods and Big E are in for TND tonight. Kofi is locked outside the cage. This match is crazy. Jimmy Uso nails Woods against the side of the cage. Crowd chants “THIS IS AWESOME” and there is no way I can keep up with the insanity. Woods uses trombones as weapons against Jay Uso, then Big E pulls out a cowbell… cause we always need more cowbell, and Woods hits Jay with the bell. Big E now has a Cymbal. and Woods uses it to hit Jay with as well making a lovely ringing sound. As fast the TND took over they get cut off by the Uso’s now armed with Kendo sticks. They begin to beat the crap out of Big E with the kendo sticks. Jimmy pins Woods against the side of the cage with a kendo stick and Jay comes in with a dropkick to the face… The Uso’s are 2 on 1 on Big E, but Big E takes Jay out right away but Jimmy cuts him off. Big E manages to take both of the Uso’s out by slamming one into the other. Big E rolls Jimmy into the ring, for a double team with Woods, Jay manages to cut it off. More kendo sticks! Is this the Sandman’s secret stash? TND uses the kendo sticks to lock Jay Uso in the corner… hahahaha WTF… Now they are teaming up on Jimmy. Jay Uso somehow escapes, takes out Woods, Jimmy picks up steam and takes out Big E, Jay picks E up and they double team him into the cage, the crowd is chanting “Holy Shit” poor Big E… ouch… Usos have dragged Big E Usos both get a Splash from the top on Big E but he kicks out on 2… The Usos now have handcuffs… with long chains in between them. they handcuff Big E to a corner, and Jimmy tries to lock Woods up to the other corner. Woods is getting beat with the kendo stick while handcuffed to the ring post. well technically his hands are over the post, so he can get free if he flips his arms right… which he does… Big E has broken his handcuffs and makes easy work of the Usos. He goes bonkers and starts beating both of the Uso’s up, he tosses Jay in the ring, hits his finisher, but Jay kicks out on 2. Big E puts Jay in a submission but Jimmy superkicks him, Usos now both super kick Big E, they hit their finisher but Woods breaks it up at the last second. Uso’s get back up first… and start beating Woods with the kendo sticks again. He is still handcuffed BTW… He tries to fight back, but they continue to assault him. Now they have a chair… its put on top of Woods and the Uso’s do their double team move to become the 5-time Smackdown Tag Team Champions!!!!

Rusev vs Randy Orton:
The match starts off with the two men testing each other. Rusev takes control and shoulders Orton into the corner. Rusev took too much time heeling the crowd, and Orton recovers and stomps him. Orton goes for his finisher but Rusev sends him over the top and into the barricade. Rusev gets a 2 count on Orton. Rusev continues to stomp Orton after he kicks out then gives him a few good forearms.  Rusev puts Orton in a headlock in hopes of chocking him out, but Orton fights back to his feet and headbutts Rusev. Rusev cuts him off and gets another 2 count on Orton. Both men are outside the ring, Orton sends Rusev into the barricade, then gets kicked in the face. Rusev throws Orton back in the ring for a 2 count. Rusev looks blown up. He drops an elbow on Orton. then kicks him a few times. Rusev sends Orton to the corner, but Orton moves out of the way, they each take a moment to breathe then come back to fight hand to hand, Orton looks like he has a hold on it but Rusev outsmarts him, counters, Orton counters and Powerslams Rusev for the 2 count. Rusev gets a fallaway slam on Orton, gets another 2 count. Rusev stomps Orton goes for a submission, Orton escapes to the outside. Rusev follows and kicks Orton in the face. Rusev tosses Orton back in the ring, and goes up the second rope, goes for a splash and misses. Orton hits a DDT ton Rusev, then gets pumped up by the crowd… Rusev gets up tries to fight back, Orton hits him with the RKO to pick up the win.

United States Championship Match: Triple Threat
AJ Styles (c) vs Baron Corbin vs Tye Dillinger
Dillinger being added only increases the chances of Corbin winning in my opinion. Styles and Dillinger go to team up on Corbin and he rolls out… they chase him out, he jumps back in and the two men beat up on Corbin, then toss him out and Dillinger then turns on Styles. Back and forth between them until Styles cuts Dillinger off with a dropkick, then Corbin drags Styles out of the ring, goes to take over on Dillinger more back and forth and Dillinger ends up out, and Styles rolls back in. I can’t type as fast as this match is happening… lol  Every time Dillinger pops back up, Corbin sends him flying back down then continues his assault on Styles. All men are back in the ring, and Corbin is just destroying Styles and Dillinger. Corbin beats on Dillinger, Styles finally gets back up, and then he gets sent flying by Corbin. Corbin goes after Styles on the outside, Styles reverses gets a few hits in before being thrown into the barricade by Corbin. Corbins back in the ring with Dillinger, Dillinger is back up but its doesn’t seem like it will last long… Corbin puts Dillinger into a submission, Dillinger tries to fight p Corbin lets go because Styles is back on his feet. again not for long… Corbin continues to beat on Dillinger after taking Styles out again. Corbin gets a 2 count on Dillinger… Styles gets back in the ring… starts to fight back with Corbin, throwing punches backing him up against the ropes. Styles continues to fight hard back against Corin until he takes him down. Styles tries for his finisher but Corbin cuts him off. He hits Corbin with a forearm, Styles gets dumped onto the apron by Coring, but then pulls Corbin over the top dumping him to the outside. We have Styles vs Dillinger, but Dillinger quickly takes control. Dillinger has AJ on the top rope, and AJ escapes, and counters sending Dillinger hits styles gets a 2 count. Dillinger exposes his knee Styles gets some finisher attempts, gets Dillinger in an ankle lock but Corbin drags Dillinger to the ropes to break the submission, Styles jumps off the top splashing both men. All 3 men are down… Corbin tosses Dillinger in, some back and forth Styles is up, Corbin gives Styles a chokeslam neck-breaker from hell and Styles kicks out on 2. All 3 men continue to battle it out faster than I can type…. Dillinger picks Styles up, but Styles evades him, then Corbin who follows. Styles hits a top rope 450 on Corbin, but Dillinger breaks the pin on 2. Styles hits Dillinger with a giant forearm off the top, goes for the pin, Corbin pulls him off, covers Dillinger and is your new United States Champion.

Smackdown Women’s Championship:
Natalya Neidhart (c) vs Charlotte Flair
Both ladies have dope new outfits on. It’s nice to see this two wrestle, so sorry if there isn’t as much play by play. Natalya has been on 40 PPVs now, more than any other woman in the history of WWE. That’s pretty awesome. This match has a lot of back and forth and mocking by Charlotte. Natalya and Charlotte have had a lot of back and forth and are currently trying to outwrestle each other on the ground. Natalya has worn Charlotte down and bit and continues to take advantage of that. Charlotte is fighting but Nattie holds her in a leg lock. Charlotte reverses and gets Natalya into an ankle lock, but she escapes and goes right back after Charlotte. Every time Charlotte gets back to her feet Natalya knocks her down. More back and forth, Charlotte gets a 2 count on Nattie with a backslide, then gives her a bunch of chops, than a knee drop. Charlotte’s knee is hurt, but she continues to fight back and gets a suplex on Natalya. Natalya exploits the knee then gives Charlotte a powerbomb and gets a 2 count. One more cover… kick out… another cover, then kick out. Natti looks pissed. Charlotte tries to pin Natalya but kicks out on 1. Natalya starts stomping on Charlotte, Charlotte cuts her off, but Charlotte’s knee gives out, Charlotte limps to her feet and is sent out of the ring by Natalya, who hits her with a baseball slide into the steel stairs. Nattie gets Charlotte back in the ring, and puts her in the sharpshooter in the center of the ring, Charlotte manages to flip Nattie out of the hold, and into the bottom turnbuckle. Nattie is down, Charlotte goes to the top, Nattie rolls out, and Charlotte kicks her. Charlotte goes to the top and does a moonsault onto Natalya on the outside. Natalya is down, Charlotte’s knee is injured. Natalya retains by count out, then assaults Charlotte with a steel chair.

Breezango segment… they get a delivery…. and its a poster of the Ascension. From the Ascension who they didn’t recognize in street clothes. They send them away and a briefcase is left at the door… Breezango opens it and a golden light shines out… it’s not just a briefcase… its a new case.

WWE Championship Match
Jinder Mahal (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura
I am really annoyed this match isn’t in a cell… With the Singh brothers at ringside, how is it not? Mahal and Nakamura have some solid back and forth and Mahal is not happy with Nakamura’s antics, or his face paced moves. Mahal powders out of the ring… Again I am more focused on watching this match than play by play. Mahal tries a submission on Nakamura, but he works out of it. Mahal then tries an armbar on Nakamura, but he works out of it again. Nakamura gets tossed hard into the corner, Mahal gives him a huge knee to the face, then puts him back in the armbar.  Nakamura works his way up again, and both men fight back until they both end up on the ground. Nakamura hits Mahal with a Flying boot then a few kicks to the chest. Nakamura gets a 2 count pin cover… Mahal cuts him off, but ends up getting dumped over the top and Nakamura baseball slides into him bit then the Singh Brother get involved, he takes them out and goes back after Mahal. Nakamura hurts his knee, gets suplexed back into the ring by Mahal for a 2 count. Mahal stand over Nakamura like a tiger about to pounce, Mahal grabs him, but Nakamura is able to roll him into a small package for 1 count, Nakamura gets to the top, boot to the face of Mahal from the top. Singh Brothers interfering again, but Nakamura uses Mahal as a weapon against them this time, the Singhs keep interfering and are banned from ringside by the ref, Nakamura hits his finisher but Mahal grabs the bottom rope to break the pinfall. Mahal powders, Nakamura chases him throws him back in the ring and gets bumped, counters, throws Mahal Mahal hits his finisher and gets the 3 count on Nakamura to retain the WWE Championship. Boooooo

Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler:
This match starts out with classic chain wrestling as you would expect. Totally digging this matchup. These guys are fairly well matched and both wrestle really well, but it seems Roode is beginning to take control. Ziggler underestimates Roode I think. Ziggler gets a 2 count roll up on Roode but Roode kicks out. Ziggler has now reported to heel tactics rubbing Roode’s face down the ropes then hitting him with a neck breaker for a 2 count. Ziggler grabs Roode in a wristlock submission, but Roode fights out, Ziggler cuts him off and gets him into a sleeper hold. Roode seems to be fading out… Roode is trying to escape, Rode gets back up to sitting and begins to fight Ziggler off, getting him up and over in a side suplex. Both men get back to their feet, Ziggler ends up shoulder first into the ring post. Roode punches Ziggler, Ziggler reverses, Roode reverses, hits a move from the top for a 2 count. Roode hits another hard slam on Ziggler for the 2 count. Ziggler hits Roode with a DDT for a two count. Both men go for finishers and are blocked, Ziggler grabs Roode back into the sleeper hold, Roode fights back but gets another DDT by Ziggler for another 2 count pin. Both men are down. Ziggler gets up first, starts stomping to “tun up the band, but Roode cuts him off with a spine buster. Roode goes for Glorious, Ziggler rolls him up with the tights,  then roll up off, and Roode wins by pinfall roll up with the tights.

Hell in a Cell Match
Kevin Owens vs Shane Mcmahon:
This starts before these two can even get in the ring. Shane and Kevin just continue to brawl at the end of the ramp, until Owens gets in the cage and holds the door shut, but Shane kicks the door into his face. They are in! Owens knocks Shane into the cage right off the bat, and Shane fights back from the ground, Owens picks him up and grinds his face into the cage in front of his children, who seem to be… laughing at him? Owens steps on Shanes face a bit and dumps the steel steps on him. Shane tries crawling away but Owens chases him to kick him in the ribs. Shane gets up, kicks Owens, and then punches him a few times, Owens gets back in the ring, Shane follows and gets stomped. Owens just keeps punching Shane, and Shane tries to work back up but Owens keeps him down. Owens hits a standing senton for a 2 count. Owens has Shane in the corner, but Shane is trying to fight back, Big knee to Shanes’ face, then a cannonball by Owen, cover and a kick out. Owens is talking shit to Shanes kids, and they continue to laugh. Owens goes to the top and misses the Senton, as Shane got his knees up, but Shane got his knee hurt when Owens landed on him. Both men are back up, Shane starts punching Owens into the corner, and hits him with a flying elbow. Shanes fired up gets Owens worked into a corner, then pulls him out and hits him with a big DDT (overused tonight BTW) Shane goes to the top shooting star press, but nobodies home. Owens then goes to the top hits Shane with a big splash but Shane kicks out. Shane runs in grabs Owens in an armbar, trying to get him into the triangle, but Owens is fighting him trying to fully apply it. Owens pulls Shane out of the ring and Power Bombs him onto the ring stairs. Owens gets back up stomps Shane a bit, Shanes complaining about his back, the crowd is chanting “get the tables” Owens get’s the table… Owens sets the table up against the side of the cage, and sets Shane up on the table, then runs off the apron and jumps, but Shane rolls out of the way and Owens takes out the table and himself. Shane gets a 2 count at ringside on Owens. Falls count anywhere… Shane is now beating Owens with a broken chunk of the table. He pulls a trash can out from under the ring, throws it into the ring, hits Owens with the table chunk again, then throws Owens in the ring as well. Shane grabs the can, sets it up on Owens and goes to the top rope, and hits the dropkick to the trashcan flattening Owens. Shane pins Owens, somehow Owens gets a foot on the ropes. Shane is telling the ref to open the cell. The ref says no, Shane gets bolt cutters and struggles to cut the lock… He breaks the lock and opens the cell. He then returns to the ring and hits Owens with the trash can. Shane is chasing Owens up the ramp, Shane ends up face first into the metal on the walkway, Owens works to his feet, and picks up Shane to run him nuts first into the cage door… Owens then runs Shanes face down the cage and continues to beat on him, then begins to tear the announce table apart, tossing the parts at Shane. Owens sets Shane up on the table and first climbs the barricade to jump onto Shane, but then decides to climb the cage instead.
Owens is 20′ in the air on top of the “cell” Owens acts as if he has reservations about jumping off the cage, Shane gets up and follows Owens to the top of the cage. Owens punches Shane as he hangs off the side of the cell, but Shane fights his way to the top, Shane and Owens unleash on each other on top of the cell. They take each other down, the roof bends… Shane hits a bodyslam on Owens, then almost falls off the cell. The crowd is chanting “THIS IS AWESOME”. They continue to fight, Shane gives Owens a big suplex, the cage top is getting weaker and weaker… These men continue to fight… Everyone is waiting for them to fall through. I think I can see the gimmicked panel it’s to the left of center on the main camera… Owens gives Shane a huge Powerbomb the cage holds. Owens goes to shitcan Shane off the cell, Shane reverses, they continue to fight, Owens then begins to climb down, but Shane starts to choke him. Shane chases Owens down the cage. They are now fighting on the side of the cage, halfway up, and Owens falls off into the announce table, Shane clings to the cage like spiderman… EMTs checking on Owens, Shane descends from the cage. Shane makes the EMTs move so he can pin Owens, but instead, he drags Owens back to take apart the other announce table. Shane sets up Owens on the announce table, then climbs to the top of the cage. Shane is on top of the cell, He crosses himself, drops an elbow, and Owens gets pulled out of the way by Sami Zayn, Shane annihilates the table and the EMT’s call for the backboard. Shanes looking potentially damaged. EMT’s are trying to check on Shane, Sami moves them, drags Owens over to cover Shane. Kevin Owens is your winner. WTF?

Overall this special event wasn’t too bad. I really enjoyed a few of the matches, and am looking forward to watching Smackdown on Tuesday! Thanks for checking out my review and results, and check out my other writing here!

Betting Odds on Cena vs Nakamura for This Tuesday on Smackdown Live

The following odds are sourced from 5Dimes. Bets are taken from players worldwide.

Bet on Cena vs Nakamura on Smackdown

For the first time ever, bets are being taken for a WWE televised match, as opposed to odds only being offered on PPV matches that we have seen in the past. This may become a trend, but for now it’s limited to one match only and it is a match with high stakes. The match being the first ever match between John Cena and Shinuke Nakamura and the states being which competitor goes on to challenge WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam. The match in question will happen live on Smackdown, Tuesday August 1.

Not only are there high stakes in this match, but this is also a much discussed “dream match” that has been discussed ever since Nakamura joined the WWE’s developmental program last year. Once would assume this match would be huge enough to be on PPV itself, and it definitely is. This match is probably drawing more interest than either Cena or Nakamura would challenging Mahal for the championship.

The television ratings as of recent have approached abysmal levels and this match may be designed to be broadcasted live on Smackdown to attempt to correct these low ratings. With sports books taking notice enough to designate odds this is a strong indication that WWE will succeed with this attraction.

Right now John Cena is slightly favored at -145 to Nakamura’s +105. These odds are close and can be looked to as very close to even. To editorialize, the chances of a draw or non-finish leading to both men participating in the SummerSlam match challenging Jinder is a fair, if not likely, prediction. When gambling it must be mentioned that draws or non-finishes result in the bet being canceled and money refunded.

WWE Battleground 2017 Predictions

I been doing PPV predictions for a few months solid now, and generally am doing pretty well with my guesses. My last predictions didn’t have a live review paired with it, as Great Balls of Fire fell on my birthday, so I hit the beach instead. Honestly the Smackdown brand is way more watchable and interesting right now, and RAW’s creative team needs to get their heads out of their asses, and use their talent right. So here are my predictions for Battleground, which I will be watching this Sunday!

Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English (Kickoff Match) – I have to be honest, I really haven’t seen a ton of either of these guys work, but from what I have seen I think this should be an entertaining match. I think Dillinger will take it

Sami Zayn vs. Mike Kanellis – I think this match should be pretty enjoyable, but we all know Kanellis is getting the win on this one.

Breezango prepare to close the case at WWE Battleground – I Personally think it’s The Ascension.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day – I like both teams a lot and I like what they do in the ring together. I think The New Day is really going to have to fight for those titles, so I think The Uso’s will retain, at least until Summerslam

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin – The heat between these two has been pretty good. I think this match will be one of the high points of the night, and Nakamura will be victorious.

United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens – AJ will retain the title, but these two are going to beat the snot out of each other.
John Cena vs. Rusev (Flag Match) – This may not be a popular opinion, but its mine, fuck your flags. The premise of this match is stupid, I hope Rusev chokes Cena out with Old Glory to take the win.
Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Tamina vs. Lana (Five-Way Elimination Match to determine Naomi’s opponent at SummerSlam) – Really looking forward to this match, I personally want to see Becky vs Naomi at Summerslam, but I have a feeling we may seen Lana take this one.

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton (Punjabi Prison Match) – First I would like to say, fuck prisons, and fuck this culture of normalizing and glorifying imprisonment. We see Orange is The New Black and kids movies like Minions 3, promoting prison as if its summer camp, then this stupid played out racist stereotypical shit was done already with The Great Khali. The US holds the most prisoners in the world, and India rounds out the top 5 countries with the most prisoners, but based on population the US far outshines them, in many cases for profit. That being said… Jinder will probably retain the championship through Summerslam at the very least.

WWE Money in the Bank Predictions

Who is the Favorite to Win Money in the Bank? Betting Odds Set Early!

The following odds are from 5Dimes and represent the Global Market. Currently Mastercard, American Express and Bitcoins are being accepted for deposits. Bets can be made for as low as 50 cent although there is never an obligation to place a wager or make a deposit to view and follow the ever changing odds. Visit 5Dimes by clicking here.

WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV will be June 18, and already betting odds for the main event have been set by sports books. Of the six entrants in the MitB match itself, Baron Corbin stands apart from the pack as a favorite with odds of -190. This puts Corbin at a 65% probability to acquire the briefcase. A $165 wager would be needed to win $100.

Among the other wrestlers involved in this match Kevin Owens has the next best odds at +575, only a 15% probability. AJ Styles and Sami Zayn are not too far away from KO in their chances for winning at +600. Shinsuke Nakamura has odds of +700 and the dark horse, Dolph Ziggler has very slim chances at +2500. Putting Dolph’s odds in perspective, a successful $100 bet would yield a massive $2500.

There are several other announced matches at Money in the Bank, however the men’s MitB is the only one that has odds posted as of press time. The others will most likely be posted the week of the event. It is rare for matches to have betting odds available this early in the game, but Baron Corbin was rumored to be winning it months ago, before any participants had even been announced so there is precedent for setting these lines. The informed prediction would suggest that the odds will move even further in the direction of Corbin and right now could be the best possible bet anyone will be able to make on him before his odds get longer.

WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Baron Corbin -190

Kevin Owens +575

AJ Styles +600

Sami Zayn +600

Shinsuke Nakamura +700

Dolph Ziggler +2500
