Wrestlemania Sunday Pregame Betting Odds Breakdown

These odds are courtesy of 5Dimes, a sports book accepting customers worldwide.

A very suspicious odds move has seen Roman Reigns’ favorable chances slashed from a runaway -1200 to a mere -400. With a Roman Reigns victory being considered a forgone conclusion, this creates a few pressing questions that must be addressed. Is the reason for this strange line move the result of an inside leak? Probably not, if this were the case we might be seeing Lesnar favored right now. Is this because gamblers are drawn to the name value of Brock Lesnar, especially with his UFC history? This is probably the more likely scenario and we will have a better idea of why exactly these odds moved when we get the result of this match. Worth mentioning is that this WWE Universal Championship match is still favored by -2000 to go on last as the main event.

Conversely, the odds actually widened a bit in the WWE Championship match. Shinsuke Nakamura has seen his odds increase from -415 to -620. Royal Rumble winner traditionally are very successful with their corresponding Wrestlemania matches, the attractiveness of this match is less about the result and more about the in ring quality. This could be match of the night.

Another challenger to a world championship that has seen their odds decrease would be Asuka, who is challenging for Charlotte Flair’s Smackdown Women’s Championship. Asuka’s former odds of -1050 have dropped to -825, which are still healthy odds for the “Empress of Tommorow”. European Markets are offering odds on a Carmella cash in at a favorable -150. This bet is on an official cash in of the Money in the Bank briefcase with no regard on if the cash in is a success.

As for the Raw Women’s Championship, the challenger’s odds of winning have decreased as well. Nia Jax’s odds of winning have moved from -390 to -350. With Alexa Bliss’ evasiveness, best displayed in the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber, we could see an upset from “The Goddess”. It’s difficult to believe every title will change hands at this event and it might be valuable to see Bliss’ successful title reign continue beyond Wrestlemania.

Looking into the secondary championship matches, United States Champion Randy Orton is in a dead heat with one of his three challengers. Both Orton and Rusev currently have odds as +100, which is an even bet where you win as much as you wager. This is impressive as Rusev was moved into this match at the last minute to make a Fatal Fourway. The other challengers are Bobby Roode with odds of +765 and Jinder Mahal at +905.

The Interconitinental Championship still has Finn Balor favored slightly, however Seth Rollins has become a close underdog. This match is competitive with the exception of The Miz having dismal odds of +360 to retain in this Triple Threat match.

The Bludgeon Brothers remain slight favorites to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat match between The Usos and The New Day. Braun Strowman and his partner are also still favored to defeat the Raw Tag Team Champions, Cesaro and Sheamus.

In the Tournament Finals for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship, Cedric Alexander’s favorable odds have increased from -295 to -460, a marginal line move. Alexander’s fellow finalist Mustafa Ali is a +320 underdog.

While the unannounced match of John Cena vs the Undertaker is only open in the European sports books, The Undertaker’s odds have dropped from -400 to -295, casting doubt for the outcome of this epic match.

Both the Raw and Smackdown brands have tag team matches centered around the authority figures of each brand. Raw is offering the in ring debut of Ronda Rousey, as she teams up with Raw GM Kurt Angle. Rousey & Angle have seen their odds increase to -825 against Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and WWE COO Triple H.

Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan makes his long awaited in ring return, teaming with Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The odds on this one are very close and haven’t moved significantly. Bryan and McMahon are favored slightly at -180.

The Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal has no clear favorite, however the best odds currently belong to Sasha Banks at +150. The Andre Memorial Battle Royal does have a definite favorite in Matt Hardy with odds of -210. At one point Elias had the best odds to win, and a returning Big Cass is a definite possibility based on his respectable odds.

Wrestlemania Betting Odds Latest Moves

Wrestlemania is this Sunday and just like the Super Bowl is to football, this is the biggest gambling event for pro wrestling. This massive card has had odds out for awhile, and since the global markets were opened last week, some of these matches have moved to become lopsided.

The most favored of anyone to win their match is Roman Reigns with odds of -1200 to beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. This means a $1200 bet would have to be made to make only $100. It has been a forgone conclusion all along that Roman will win this match and this has been an open secret since before the match was even announced. This match is once again heavily favored to main event, going on last at -2000.

While the match has not even been officially announced, John Cena vs The Undertaker is expected to happen at Wrestlemania. This match has been rumored for awhile and WWE has been teasing this match through the proxy of John Cena calling out The Taker weekly. It would be unlike the WWE’s prior business practices to tease a match it cannot deliver so we can count on this match happening Sunday. Even though the match is unofficial at his point, sports books are offering odds and Undertaker is favored at -400. John Cena is a +250 underdog.

Shinsuke Nakamura also has very good odds to defeat AJ Styles in the WWE Championship match. This follows a trend of champions going into Wrestlemania as underdogs. Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is a +295 underdog and is being challenged by former ally Nia Jax, who is favored at -390. The Intercontinental Champion The Miz is another underdog at +280 and has two challengers to make a triple threat match. Finn Balor is a slight favorite to win this with current odds of -185. Seth Rollins has odds of +360, making him the outsider.

Asuka has superb odds of -1050 to continue her undefeated streak when she challenges Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. A Carmella Money in the Bank cash in is more than likely and the favorable betting odds on a successful cash in have mysteriously disappeared. This prop bet being suspended is actually a great indicator that Carmella will finally be cashing in. It is very probable the betting was suspended due to too many wagers being made on Carmella. Those lines kept moving in the favor of Carmella until it closed.

The only champion that is actually favored is Randy Orton favored at -200 defending his United States Championship in a Fatal Fourway. Of Orton’s three underdog challengers, Rusev has the best odds at +140 to take the title. Jinder Mahal has odds of +250 and the outsider is former champion Bobby Roode with odds of +500. This is actually one of the more difficult matches to predict.

For the finals of the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, Cedric Alexander is favored at -295 to capture the vacant title by defeating Mustafi Ali. Mustafa’s underdog odds of +200 are tempting in this one. Ali has a legitimate chance.

Tag Team and Battle Royal Matches

Both sets of tag team champions lack having lucky odds. Braun Strowman & whoever his opponent end up being have odds of -295 to successfully challenge the Raw Tag Team champions Cesaro & Sheamus. For the Smackdown Tag Team Championships The Bludgeon Brother are slight favorites at -134 to dethrone The Usos for those titles. The champions are slight underdogs at +140 and the New Day are also in this match with odds of +275.

In the special attraction mixed tag team match featuring women’s MMA standout Ronda Rousey, Kurt Angle and Ronda are favored at -530 to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a grudge match. According to some prop bets, we can expect to see this match via submission with Rousey tapping McMahon.

Another tag team match featuring the in ring return of Daniel Bryan has very close odds. Bryan & Shane McMahon are marginal favorites at -155 to defeat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, +110 underdogs. This is another match that is too close to call as KO and Sami fight to regain their jobs at WWE.

The Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal sees Becky Lynch with the best odds of +125 to win and there is another participant that is very close to Lynch’s odds. Sasha Banks, for example, has odds of +160 to win, but sports books cannot call this one right now. The Andre the Giant Memeorial Battle Royal is a match with a more definitive projection seeing Elias as the -140 favorite to win this match. There are also odds on Big Cass and Samoa Joe, both at +400, which is purely speculative with both being injured and not expected to be in this match.

Wrestlemania Odds are Now Live

Oddsmakers in Europe have created betting odds for the announced Wrestlemania matches, and even a few that haven’t yet been announced. According to these early projections, none of the current champions are favored.

Challenging for the Universal Championship, Roman Reigns is heavily favored at -770 to defeat Brock Lesnar. Reigns is the most favored out of anyone on the card right now. This match is still favored at -200 to main event, a huge drop from being favored at -1000 just last month.

After earning a title match at Wrestlemania by winning the Royal Rumble, Shinsuke Nakamura has chosen to challenge WWE Champion AJ Styles. Nakamura is favored -250 to best AJ. Unlike the Universal Championship match, this one isn’t so predictable.

Charlotte Flair is a +400 underdog to not be champion by the end of Wrestlemania. This particular wager is setup like this to account for the possibility of a MitB cash in from Carmella. While Asuka is favored at -295 to leave Wrestlemania with the title, Carmella has odds of -150 to do the same. So even if Asuka can win the title from Flair, a successful Carmella cash in would cause those betting on Asuka to lose that particular bet, even if Asuka wins the original match.

The United States Championship match has not yet been announced, however odds are being offered on who will walk out of Wrestlemania with that title. With a rumored triple threat match between current champion Randy Orton, former champion Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal, those three names all have odds. Of these three Jinder is slightly favored at -118, while Orton has even odds of +100. Roode is the outsider in this with odds of +375.

Another match that is likely but not yet announced would be Alexa Bliss defending the Raw Women’s Championship against Nia Jax. As a -500 favorite, Jax is long overdue for a championship in WWE and this match has been slowly building for a while, often being put on the back burner.

The special attraction mixed tag team match not only has odds, but also some interesting prop bets. The team of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey are favored at -625 to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The method of finish is favored to be by submission and Rousey is favored to be the one capturing the fall at -400. Furthermore, while the gender involved with the finish is favored at -400 to be female, the male participants are favored at -625 to start the match.

These are early odds and will move and shift dramatically. Some of these are close enough to flip altogether and all matches are subject to “end of broadcast ruling”, meaning the final announced outcome by the end of the broadcast.

The following odds are sourced from Paddy Power, an Irish Sports Book serving Ireland, The UK and other nations. The Paddy Power website is subject to geo-blocking and may not be available from in all regions.

WWE Fastlane is this Sunday on the WWE Network and is the last PPV before Wrestlemania next month. The early betting odds have been set and in the main event AJ Styles is expected to retain the WWE Championship with heavy odds of -800. These odds are especially convincing, given that Styles is defending against five different opponents in a Six Pack Challenge. With AJ expected to have a long awaited dream match with Shinsuke Nakamura, his former rival in New Japan, this projection will most likely stand.

No one else in this match seems to have much of a chance. John Cena has the next best odds after AJ and even then is a long shot as a +750 underdog. Everyone else in the match has even less favorable odds with the least favorable being Dolph Ziggler at +1200.

The only Fastlane participant with better odds than AJ is the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at -1000. Charlotte is defending against Ruby Riott, the leader of the Riott Squad and she has odds of +500.

For the United States Championship, Bobby Roode and challenger Randy Orton are currently in a dead heat, both having odds of -120 making this the least predictable match of the entire event. This one could go either way.

The Smackdown Tag Team Championship very close with The Usos slightly favored at -175 to successfully retain. The New Days are the challengers and only marginal underdogs at +125.

In a singles match, the man who will fact the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania is favored at -800 to defeat Rusev, who is at +450. This is a virtual lock and presumably serving as a showcase match for Nakamura headed into the biggest show of the year.

Finally in a women’s tag team match, Becky Lynch and Naomi are favored slightly at -150 to defeat Natalya & Carmella, who are +110 underdogs. These are close odds and could go either way because this match doesn’t matter very much.

As always, the odds will change as we draw close to the event. The minus sign represents the favorites and the plus sign indicates underdogs. The digit after the plus or minus tells us how favored or unfavored a particular competitor is.

There are Already Betting Odds for Next Year’s Royal Rumble

The Monster Among Men Leads the Pack

Oddsmakers wasted no time setting the odds for next year’s Royal Rumble match, despite it being almost one year away. 120 choices have been listed, and the best odds are property of Braun Strowman, who had a breakout year and is expected to be built up even further leading into 2019.

Braun’s odds should be taken with a grain of salt, as there have been no reports that the WWE has solidified plans for who will pick up a Rumble victory next year. For what it’s worth, Roman Reigns was favored by sports books throughout 2017 to win the last Rumble and ended up flipping in the weeks leading to the match in favor of Shinsuke Nakamura, the eventual winner.

Perennial contender, Roman Reigns is the next most favored at +350 as he is usually a serious candidate to win the Rumble. Brock Lesnar, John Cena and AJ Styles are all individually favored at +600 and tied for third most favored.

Of the entire list, some possible winners are more interesting than others, like Bobby Lashley , who has relatively healthy odds of +1200. Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon, all who are unlikely to compete in the match, have odds of +4000. Rob Gronkowski, who shares mutual interest with WWE in coming to the promotion, has odds of +10000 to win. Shaquille O’Neal has the same odds as Gronk. Finally, Donald Trump and for some reason Piers Morgan have odds of +40000, meaning a successful $100 bet on either of them would generate $40,000, because it’s astronomically unlikely.

After nearly a year of Roman Reigns being long favored to win the 2018 WWE Royal Rumble in Philadelphia, it would be John Cena who would snatch the #1 most favorable odds away from “The Big Dog”, but this didn’t last very long. After both Roman and Shinsuke Nakamura were tied in a dead heat for the top positioning in the Rumble, Nakamura is now the most likely to win according to these odds at +140. This gives “The King of Strong Style” a probability of over 40% to win this match.

If this ends up holding true, it will presumably lead to the epic Wrestlemania match many ardent fans are dying to see with WWE Champion AJ Styles defending against Shinsuke. Both of these very talented performers were active at the same time in New Japan Pro Wrestling before coming to the WWE system and teased a major encounter in their Money in the Bank Ladder match. Time stood still as these two lock gazes in this match and let the audience soak in the moment and omen of a future meeting on a grander stage.

As for John Cena, his odds have been knocked down to +400, however Dolph Ziggler has been upgraded to have identical odds to Cena. This means both have the same probability of winning the match. Many were lest wondering what’s next for Ziggler since he vacated the United States Championship and a Rumble win might be the answer. It will be especially interesting to see how Ziggler’s odds move from now until the Rumble on January 28.

Here is the most current odds available for nearly 100 possible Rumble winners.

Major Shift in Royal Rumble Frontrunner

The new year has arrived as we inch towards the Road to Wrestlemania and it all starts with the Royal Rumble in Philadelphia January 28 and live on the WWE Network. The main attraction of this event is the Royal Rumble match itself, a match with decades of history and decided who will go on to the main event of Wrestlemania for a shot a either the WWE Championship of the Universal Championship. Although the Rumble match is limited to 30 superstars, odds are available on over 100 possible entrants and these bets would be speculative at this point.

While odds have been available for most of 2017, those odds gave the best chance to Roman Reigns winning as it has been generally believed that Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship would be the main event of Wrestlemania this is no longer the case. Roman has unfinished business with Lesnar since Wrestlemania 31, but the new favorite to win the Rumble is John Cena with odds of +225. Reigns is still a close second at +250.

Shinsuke Nakamura has very respectable odds of +275, only marginally behind Cena and Reigns, however AJ Styles is next on the list at +500. With AJ already being WWE Champion, he likely will not even be a participant in the Rumble match. For unknown reasons, Raw Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins is at +800, while his tag team partner Jason Jordan has far less favorable odds at +3300. Jordan replaced an injured Dean Ambrose in that tag team, and although he will likely miss the Royal Rumble, Ambrose still has odds of +2000. Bobby Roode and Braun Strowman have identical odds of +1000.

There are actually many possible entrants that aren’t even in the WWE currently. Goldberg has odds to win of +3300. With odds of +2500, NJPW US Champion Kenny Omega is another long shot but still has better odds than his WrestleKingdom opponent Chris Jericho. Y2J has odds of +3300. The Rock and Undertaker both have odds of +5000 and considering that Taker will be at the 25th Anniversary of RAW, this could be a worthy pick at those lines.

Even CM Punk, who walked out of WWE after the Royal Rumble 4 years ago, has odds of +6600 to return and win it. Shawn Michaels has odds of +8000, while Ryback and Bubba Ray Dudley have odds of +10000. With odds of +15000, both “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Ronda Rousey can be wagered on as well. Rousey is the only woman of this list.

Hulk Hogan, Darren Young, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Nash and James Ellsworth all have odds of +20000.

Even some non-wrestlers have odds to win including Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor, Vin Diesel, Barck Obama and President Donald Trump.

Betting odds are out, and lines are open until the bell of each match. You can check out the latest odds here. If you are interested in learning how to bet on pro wrestling, I suggest reading this article.

This article will be updated with a commentary, and match results at the end of each match, so stay tuned for details! And remember you can get your first month of WWE Network for FREE if you sign up today!

The preshow is currently on, and by watching Carmella with her briefcase, and her body language, I would guess she is going to try to cash it in tonight after the lumberjack match.

Preshow:
Mojo Rawley vs Zack Ryder: Mojo runs out ready to tear someone apart. Ryder walks out to the ring looking pretty confident. Ryder hits Rawley with a dropkick right away,. then it quickly goes to the outside. There is some really exciting back and forth between these former tag team partners. Ryder seemed to be in control at first but has quickly run out of steam and Rawley has taken control. Ryder fights out of a choke hold to be tossed out of the ring. Rawley follows him out and runs him into the barricade… and commercial break for WWE Shop… WTF. When we come back Rawley has Ryder in another choke hold, Ryder fights out but gets taken down again by a big boot. Rawley is spending too much time shit talking and not enough time trying to pin Ryder. His shit talking giver Ryder enough time to recover and fight back. Ryder lays into him with forearms and a good knee to the face in the corner, Ryder gets a 2 count by Rawley gets his foot on the bottom rope.  Rawley gets his steam back and plows through Ryder, getting an easy 3 count. WELL DUH.

Main Card

US Championship Title Match
Baron Corbin(c) vs Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
I got stuck on a phone call but when I get back this shit is on fire. Ziggler is showing exactly what he is made of by taking control in this match, and so is Corbin by running away. Ziggler almost gets a pin on Roode but Corbin broke it up. Ziggler and Roode each get a hit on Corbin, Rood goes to give Ziggler his finisher and Corbin hit him with the deep 6 for the 2 count. Boston crowd is hot on Roode chanting for him. Roode gets Corbin down but Ziggler takes him out… a ton more shit happened, it was crazy Roode tries the glorious DDT but Ziggler counters and gets a 2 count pin on Roode. Holy shit too much happening. Ziggler gets sent into the turnbuckle, Roode hits the glorious DDT, but Corbin broke up the pin, and gave Roode a backbreaker on the outside. Corbin is about to take out Roode, Ziggler takes them both out, and gets the pin on Corbin to become the new US champion! HOLY SHIT! Congratz!

YES It’s RUSEV DAY!!!! (Everyday is Rusev Day!)
Aiden English comes out first and introduces Rusev, and then works on finishing the “12 days of Rusev” and its such a beautiful tribute the fans explode into Rusev Day chants! An extra verse is about to be added but then Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable come out to the ring… It’s time for the next match!

Smackdown Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Title Match
Rusev and Aiden English vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs The New Day vs The Uso’s(c)
The Usos are still doing the stupid penitentiary gimmick, I hate it. Please stop. So they are only letting 4 men in the ring at once, however quickly all men end up in the ring, then quickly cleared from the ring. This is a no DQ match, so all hell has broken loose, bodies flying everywhere. Shelton Benjamin gives Jimmy Uso a massive move from the top rope, it was awesome. Shelton Benjamin is now getting torn apart by Big E and Kofi. Rusev comes in but Kofi dropkicks him as well. Kofi is on fire and Big E is tossing him into each opponent, until Rusev cuts him off, goes after Jay Uso and almost gets a 2 count pin attempt. I guess there are “legal men” in the match but frankly, it’s too hard to follow. Its rest hold time, Gable has Kofi and English has one of the Usos in a hold. Now RUsev took over and is stomping said Uso…  Gable and Benjamin continue to work over Kofi. I don’t understand the rules to this match, its no DQ but only 4 men in the ring at once and anything outside the ring goes? DUDE WWE LOGIC IS GONNA MAKE MY BRAIN EXPLODE. Big E and Jay Uso take out English and Gable double cover 2 count, Jay and Big E start to brawl, the Usos clear the ring. Gable and Benjamin return to the ring and gable has Jay Uso in a Submission while Benjamin is protecting him from interference until English interferes and Rusev kick Gable in the head from the other side. Rusev and Gable are legal in the ring. Rusev gets the Accolade in but Big E breaks it up, but that’s broken up Rusev pins Big E for a 2 count, twice in a row… Rusev gets Big E in the Accolade now, and Big E is trying to fight out, but Rusev is stronger. Gable breaks it up by giving Rusev a nearly impossible suplex, he then takes English out and Gives Big E a suplex as well, the Usos come in and stop Gable to retain their championship titles. That was awesome even if the rules made no sense.

Smackdown Women’s Championship Match
LumberJack Match Charlotte vs Natalya
The Riot Squad, Carmella, Tamina w/Lana, Naomi, are at ringside as the lumberjacks.
As I said earlier in this article I think Carmella is going to cash in the money in the bank briefcase tonight. It’s a shame Ellsworth isn’t there to see it.The match starts off with some chaining then the two women go strike for strike, Natalya gets thrown out of the ring, and Naomi kicks her a few times, she gets back in and throws Charlotte out, and the girls jump on Charlotte on the outside. Nattie and Charlotte continue back and forth and Charlotte gets a neckbreaker for a 2 count on Nattie. Nattie isn’t slowed down much by this then put the boots to Charlotte, and send her outside but the riot squad sends her back in. Nattie keeps control, but and Charlotte is clearly getting abused, Nattie chokes her on the ropes, the ref breaks it up, Nattie is out but Carmella tosses her back in, Charlotte lights Nattie up with a bunch of chops, Nattie cuts her off, continuing her assault, she almost gets Charlotte in the sharpshooter, but Charlotte gets out before it’s locked in. Charlotte and Nattie end up on the outside, and all the other women Jump Charlotte. Nattie gets the sharpshooter locked in on Charlotte this time, the hold is broken, then all hell breaks loose, Charlotte does a huge moonsault off the top to the outside, everyone is down, but Nattie avoids it and beats on Charlotte some more. Nattie goes to put Charlotte in the sharpshooter, but Charlotte reverses and wins by submission. Nattie cuts a promo about being treated with nothing but disrespect. Well we still love you lady. Meow.

Breezango vs The Bludgeon Brothers
Poor Breezango. Looks like Harper and Rowan may kill them. Harper and Breeze start out, and Harper just knocks breeze down. Rowan is tagged in but chases Fandango outside, and when he does go to the ring, Breeze kicks him in the face. He is stunned for a moment, grabs Breeze, but Fandango cuts Rowan off. Harper comes to the other side of the ring to help his partner get this match on track. Harper and Rowan double team Breezes head into the canvas, he’s down. They then unleash hell on Fandango, ONE TWO THREE it’s over with Rowan getting the pin on Fandango. I guess Fashion Files has been canceled.

Speaking of canceled….

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura
w/ Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as “Special Guest Referees”
Watching the crowd do the “Yes” chant for DB makes me want to cry…
The match starts out with Orton and Zayn, and of course, both ref’s in the ring,  a little chain wrestling, then Orton goes for a quick pin, and both refs start counting at different paces, and Sami kicks out. Nakamura tags in and begins to chain with Zayn. Zayn backs him into the ropes and Shane immediately breaks it up. More back and forth but its already clear these duel special guest refs do not see eye to eye. Owens tags i and gives Nakamura some good chops, and then Nakamura turns it around and gets a 2ish count pin on Owens. But again the refs are not even remotely on the same count time. Now Shane and DB divide the ring and decide to make calls only on “their side”. This shit is hella distracting, and this match is overly gimmicky, and not in a fun stupid kinda way. Orton and Zayn are not working well together at all. It seems like Orton and Zayn may have heat IRL? I’m trying to muster up some care for this match, but it’s too hard. this is boring. Finally, its Owens and Nakamura and Nakamura took Owens out with an awesome kick and just begins to unload on him. Zayn tries to get on the apron but gets cut off by Nakamura, and then Nakamura turns back to Owens and just continues to unload on him. 3 count pin attempt on Owens. 2nd 2 count pin on Owens. Nakamura does some crazy rollup flip into a triangle armbar, and its awesome, Nakamura gets his shoulders down, and DB counts Shane gets mad. Owens tags Zayn in, Nakamura kicks him, but Zayn still lands the blue powerbomb on Nakamura. Owens tags in but is cut off by Orton,  and Zayn tries to get in too, and Shane pushes him out, Nakamura gets the tag, and Orton almost takes Zayn’s head off. Orton is now in control, Zayn is on the apron. Zayn tries to go to the top, but Orton cuts him off with a hit to the nuts, which DB calls as illegal and warns Orton. Orton gives Zayn a huge superplex and Owens pulls Orton outside. Nakamura then goes after Owens on the outside, Zayn comes out to help, both refs come out… everyone’s at ringside, this is more than a 10 count fools!  Utter insanity Owens sets Nakamura up on the table and gives him a huge splash. Everyone has been out of the ring for like 20 seconds or more… this match should technically be over… but sadly it isn’t. Zayn is back in the ring, and Orton gives him a huge power slam then hits him with a neckbreaker and an RKO, and Shane goes to make the call on the cover, he claims it was 3, DB says only 2, they are arguing, Orton is pissed, Owens gets in the ring, Orton hits him with an RKO too, Zayn rolls up Orton, and gets a 2 count, Orton reverses 2 count, Zayn gets Orton pinned again and Shane shoves them screwing the pin. DB is trying to throw Shane out of the match, Shane refuses, Zayn gets another roll up on Orton while he is distracted, and DV gives a super quick pin count like Shane had tried to do earlier in the match. Owens and Zayn are safe to see another Smackdown.

WWE Championship Match
AJ Styles(C) vs Jinder Mahal
The match starts off with some back and forth, and the crowd is already chanting “this is awful”. The Singh brothers are at ringside as always. I’ll have to agree with the crowd this is awful, and there is 35 more minutes of this shit show at the very least. Styles gets tossed into the ropes and falls to the floor. Mahal chases after him but AJ cuts him off. Mahal gets back in the ring to stop the count on himself, then oddly enough decides to to put AJ in then pulls him out again to throw him into the exposed barricade. Mahal beats AJ on the outside more, then tosses him back in, as falls only count in the ring. Mahal kicks AJ off the apron to the floor again, the Singh brothers aren’t going after him, Mahal picks up Styles and tosses him into the announce table. Mahal drags Styles back to the ring, and puts him in a crossface. Then hits him in the face after letting go. Jinder then gets Styles in a scissor lock from behind, crushing Styles ribs. Styles gets out and continues to fight, but Mahal once again reverses, and gives Styles a super awkward abdominal stretch. Styles fights out, Mahal continues to abuse him and shoulder tackles him to the face then goes to the second rope and punches Styles in the face as well. AJ manages to cut Mahal off with a dropkick, Mahal rolls out of the ring, and the ref is counting. Styles makes a come back, goes to springboard off the ropes, but Mahal grabs the ropes and Styles falls on his injured ribs. Mahal gets a gutbuster on STyles, for a 2 count pin attempt. Mahal sets styles up in the corner on the ropes and starts punching him, he wants to give Styles a suplex off the top, but Styles starts to counter, Mahal chokes him, and Styles drops him in and electric chair drop. both men are down, the ref is counting. Mahal barely gets up first, But styles is ready, Mahal cuts him off, but Styles isn’t down and takes Mahal out, both men are down again, and Styles splashes Mahal in the corner. Styles does this sick neckbreaker flip on Mahal, for a 2 count. Mahal takes control but Styles cuts him off with boots to the face, more back and forth, Mahal tosses AJ. Styles gets this sweet suplex for a 2 count, Mahal is still down, and Styles is kicking him in the face, Mahal counters, Mahal his a huge backdrop but Styles kicks out. AJ manages the pailei kick on Mahal. Mahal continues his assault, kneeing Styles, dropping him, kneeing him again for a 2 count. Mahal tries to choke styles from the top rope, Styles gives him a jawbreaker and drops him. Both men are down yet again. Max the cat keeps trying to count Mahal out… I feel you Max. The Singh bros get involved, Styles takes them out, then he springboards off the top, misses, and gets a kick to the back by Mahal. Mahal hits his finisher, and Styles just out after a 2 count. The fans in Boston are pissed. they are booking and chanting “this is awful” again, Styles locks in an ankle lock and Mahal taps out, AJ Styles retains the WWE Championship.

Overall there were little surprises except for Ziggler walking away with the US title. This was a mediocre event, and I hope we see better matches in 2018. Overall it wasn’t terrible, but the double ref gimmick was fucking stupid. ALso to hear people chant “this is awful” twice during an AJ Styles match should show WWE what they need to work on… like matchups people will actually care about.

Final WWE Clash of Champions Betting Odds

These odds are courtesy of 5Dimes, and international sports book available to players worldwide. These odds can be followed in real time at 5Dimes. Registration is absolutely free and there is no obligation to place a wager upon joining. Bets can be made for as low as 50 cent and can be made up until when the bell rings for individual matches.

With WWE Clash of Champions just a few hours away, the current betting odds haven’t seen any flips of projected winners, nor do they suggest that there have been leaks of finishes. None of these odds have flipped in the other direction and new odds have been added for previously unrated matches. Watch with a free month of the WWE Network.

Baron Corbin is favored to retain the United States Championship at -385 and Bobby Roode has odds of +375 of winning that title. Because Dolph Ziggler is also in the match to make it a Triple Threat, he has long shot odds of +1035. It is speculated within many of the popular internet wrestling communities that Dolph was added to the match for the sole purpose of taking the pin and protecting both Corbin and Roode in the process.

In their PPV debut with this new gimmick “The Bludgeon Brothers”, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are heavily favored at -2150 to defeat Breezango. While this may look like a smart money number, this is almost certainly a case of the Bludgeons being a very obvious winners. An upset would be further proof of the leaks of finishes being sealed up.

Another match with odds recently added is also very lopsided with Mojo Rawley favored at -1545 against his former tag team partner, Zack Ryder. This is also an obvious choice because Mojo recently turned heel by attacking his tag team partner. The idea here is build momentum for Rawley, who stood tall winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania earlier this year.

AJ Styles’ odds have improved to -720 defending against Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship, while Charlotte Flair’s odds to retain the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Natalya have remained unchanged at -675.

The Usos odds have shortened to -140 to retain the Smackdown Tag Team Championship in a Fatal Fourway. The challengers now have odds of winning as well. Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable have the best odds of dethroning at +370 and in second place is The New Day at +410. Rusev and Aiden English are least likely to win with odds of +535.

Kevin Owen and Sami Zayn have seen their odds widen from -300 to -975 to defeat Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura. The stipulation is that Kevin and Sami are fired from the entire WWE if they lose.
