WWE Evolution Predictions

It’s been a while since I have written an article, I am ridiculously busy with my job since moving across the country, back to the North East, and getting settled into some projects I have started.

I didn’t forget about my readers here, and I have plenty more articles to come, just getting back into the swing of writing takes time and a lot of effort on my part. Especially if I want my writing to be coherent!

So on to my blind predictions as other than clips, I haven’t had time to watch WWE in months.

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella –  I think there is going to be a Bella Screwjob on this one and somehow Nikki will go over by cheating.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair (Last Woman Standing Match)- Really looking forward to this match, I think honestly it could go to either woman, but I would like to see Becky continue to hold the title.

Trish Stratus & Lita vs. Mickie James & Alicia Fox – Trish and Lita, duh?

Historic Women’s Battle Royal Match (for a future Women’s Championship opportunity) EMBER MOON!!! Is that even a question?

Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya vs. The Riott Squad – The Riott Squad will cheat their way to victory.

NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler – New champ? Maybe. I think Baszler will take it on.

Toni Storm vs. Io Shirai (Mae Young Classic 2018 Finals) I think Toni Storm is going to take the win this year, and clearly get signed by WWE, they would be stupid not to. Toni’s fan signing lines at shows are ridiculous.

What Women are Favored at WWE Evolution, Current Betting Odds

These odds are courtesy of 5Dimes, a sports book accepting customers worldwide.

The very first Women’s exclusive PPV will be held this Sunday, October 28 on the WWE Network and traditional PPV. The event is named WWE Evolution and represents the progress made by female athletes in the WWE, especially over the past few years since the “Diva’s Revolution”.Eight matches have been announced and half of those have betting odds set.

How the odds work are simple to understand. A minus sign indicates the favorite(s), with the corresponding number representing how favored that wrestler(s) is/are. A plus sign is assigned to the underdog(s), with the corresponding number telling us how much of an underdog the performer(s) actually is/are.

Ronda Rousey is heavily favored at -900 to successfully defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella and these are the most favorable odds of any participant of Evolution. The Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch also favored to successfully defend with close odds of -165, not nearly as favorable as Rousey’s. Hall of Famers return when Trish Stratus & Lita take on Alexa Bliss & Mickie James. Trish and Lita are favored at -390 to overcome today’s regularly featured talent.

The Historic Women’s Battle Royal see both Asuka and Ember Moon with odds of +300, the most favorable of the field. Nia Jax and Naomi each have odds of +475 and Carmella has odds of +700. Game Day Betting Guide for WWE Hell in a Cell 2018

These odds are courtesy of 5Dimes, a sports book accepting customers worldwide.

The current betting odds for WWE Hell in a Cell on the WWE Network haven’t moved much at all since initially being set weeks ago. We are looking at a situation where all defending champions are favored to retain successfully, and none more favored than Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey with astronomical odds by today’s standards of -1050. To put this in perspective, the next most favored are The New Day at -400, who are defending the Smackdown Tag Team Championships against Rusev Day on the pre-show.

Roman Reigns is favored at -380 in his first PPV title defense as Universal Championship against longtime nemesis Braun Strowman in a Hell in a Cell. WWE Champion AJ Styles has good odds of -300 to topple Samoa Joe once again. The Smackdown Brand’s Hell in a Cell offering sees Randy Orton favored at -365 in a “blood feud” blowoff match against Jeff Hardy.

Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte is favored at only -170 against Becky Lynch in a match not only for the title, but also to settle issues of mutual betrayal. Two married couples will compete in a mixed-tag match seeing the tandem of Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella favored at -300 against The Miz & Maryse.

One match is not offering “end of broadcast” odds as of press time so for now it’s initial odds only. We do not know if this is simply a sports book oversight or if there is some other explanation. This match is the Raw Tag Team Championship bout, where Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre are slightly favored at -145 against Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins. If this match does end up having a “Dusty Finish” of any kind, we should probably take that as an indication that some type of leak or inside betting has happened.

Universal Championship – Hell in a Cell(end of broadcast ruling)
Roman Reigns(c) -380 vs Braun Strowman +260

Raw Women’s Championship(end of broadcast ruling)

Ronda Rousey(c) -1050 vs Alexa Bliss +550

See Who is Favored by Sportsbooks to Win at Hell in a Cell 2018

These odds are courtesy of 5Dimes, a sports book accepting customers worldwide.

WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 will take place on Sunday, September 16 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. This can be watched live on the WWE Network

The betting odds for Hell in a Cell are already active globally as sports books are recognizing pro wrestling as a major draw to their operations. So far 5 matches announced have odds. Right now all champions with announced matches are favored to successfully retain. The Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has healthy odds of -210 to retain over Braun Strowman in one of two Hell in a Cell matches. The other Cell match sees Randy Orton favored at -180 to beat Jeff Hardy.

AJ Styles is favored at -160 to once again retain the WWE Championship in a rematch with Samoa Joe. It is Ronda Rousey with the most favorable odds of all at -650 to retain the Raw Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss in a return match. Finally Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are favored at -350 to topple The Miz and Maryse, which makes sense with Bryan losing one on one at Summerslam to The Miz.

All matches are graded with “end of broadcast rulings” to account for any match restarts of reversal of the original result. The final announced winners by the end of the broadcast will be the odds the sports book recognizes.

WWE Universal Championship – Hell in a Cell

Roman Reigns(c) -210 vs Braun Strowman +160

WWE Championship

AJ Styles -160 vs Samoa Joe +120

Raw Women’s Championship

Kick Off Show:

Rusev and Lana vs Cien Almas and Zelina Vega – I love Lana’s gear. She always looks sharp. Why the hell is there a commercial for the main event in the middle of this match? I hate that. Lana is getting better and better, and Zalina Vega is a force to be reckoned with. I think she’s going to go far. She proves that after Almas distracted Lana and she rolled her up in a schoolgirl pin with her feet on the ropes.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
Cedric Alexander(c) vs Drew Gulak – Gulak has gotten really mean over the years… He tears Alexander apart right off the bat, but Alexander does fight back when he does get the upper hand Alexander gets mean. Alexander does a cool flip to Gulak outside the ring after Gulack powdered out. Gulak uses the ropes to lock in his submission, leaving Alexander kinda banged up. (Those are steel cables, they do hurt) Gulak tries to overpower Alexander but Alexander fights out. After multiple back and forth pin attempts and 2 counts, Alexander retains his title with a small package roll up.

Raw Tag Team Championship Match
The Revival vs The B Team(c)- After a short and fun match the B team retains the Raw Tag Team titles with the third roll up win on this pre-show.

I think the match agents are asleep at the wheel.

Main Show:

Intercontinental Championship Match
Seth Rollins w/Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler(c) w/Drew McIntyre – This match was entertaining as expected… There are so many small packages in this match, is it the move of the night? A rib on someone? WHY???? Rollins picks up the win with the King Slayer, and takes the Intercontinental Championship.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers(c) – Big E and Xavier Woods are in for this match but are getting absolutely pummeled by the Bludgeon Brothers. Xaviers gear looks like a Tide Pod. Match ends in a DQ once Rowan tries to kill TND with a giant mallet. Winners, The New Day.

No title change.

Money In The Bank Contract Match
Kevin Owens vs Braun Strowman for the MITB Contract – Watching Kevin Owens bump after Strowmans shoulder tackles him is everything… lol KO bounced when he hit the diamond plate. WOW. With a big powerslam its over. Braun did not let KO win.

Smackdown Women’s Championship Match
Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Carmella(c)- If there was ever a time to #RehireEllsworth its now, as Carmella needs him more than ever. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SMALL PACKAGES ON THIS PPV? Other than that this match has been great. Carmella has come a long way, Becky looked awesome as always, and Charlotte is insanely athletic. Charlotte wins the title after pinning Becky Lynch. Becky got robbed. Crowd chanting for Becky afterward, she embraces Charlotte, then socks her in the face, the crowd explodes, pop of the night so far. Becky continues her assault on Charlotte outside the ring. Charlotte goes for a ride into the German Announce Desk. I guess thats an irish congradulations.

WWE Heavyweight Championship Match
Samoa Joke vs “The Phenominal” AJ Styles (c) – Shit talking to kick it off, AJ’s soccer mom hair is on point tonight. I wonder how many rest holds Styles will have to take to keep Joe in the match? He’s already blown up and super sweaty and we are only a few minutes in. This match is ok, but TBH these guys could do more, and the women’s match before it totally shows them up. This match is pretty meh, gets into some power moves, AJ takes Joe out, is bleeding then goes and gets his wife and kid, and leaves the ring. Samoa Joe follows AJ, and we cut to commercial. Did the match end? I am so confused. Oh well it was boring anyway.

Who wants to walk with Elias? I am so excited about his latest hit. Elias’s guitar neck snaps, the crowd chants “You Fucked Up” Elias throws some stuff around, it goes dark.

Daniel Bryan vs The Miz – Daniel Bryan looks better than ever. Not going to write much, as honestly I rather watch. This match was great. The Miz wins when Maryse gives him some brass knuckles from ringside, to knock Bryan out.

Baron Corbin vs Finn Balor – THE DEMON HAS RETURNED!!! The crowd is loving it and so am I. Poor Baron Corbin doesn’t know what he signed up for. The demon paint is on point today. The fear in Corbin’s eyes is epic. The Demon goes right after Corbin, Corbin looks screwed. Crowd is chanting “This is Awesome”. “The Demon” Finn Balor makes easy work of Corbin.

United States Championship Match
Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura – Jeff Hardy Mocking Nakamura is hilarious. I wonder if Hardy and Balor did their facepaint together tonight. The match overall was pretty entertaining and high intensity, but didn’t feel polished enough for SummerSlam. Nakamura retains.

Raw Womens Championship Match
Alexa Bliss(c) vs “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey- Ronda undid bliss. End of story. Rousy is the new Raw Womens Champion. Did you really think Bliss had a chance? And is it just me or did that turn to a shoot halfway in?

Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar – Am I the only one who hopes Strowman cashes the MITB contract in? Or maybe Ronda comes for belt #2? LOL Oh yes I totally called it! Braun Strowman makes his way down to the ring. He asks for the mic. The crowd is going crazy. He announces he is standing here for the entire match and at the end of the night, one of those two is gonna Get These Hands! Yay. Reigns goes after Lesnar and gets off to a great start. Lesnar is a little slow, probably ring rust…lol Lesnar locks a guillotine on Reigns, Reigns counters and both men down. Not a bad start. Lesnar has got the guillotine on again, Reigns is trying to power out. He manages to get up and give Lesnar a spine buster. Lesnar takes Reigns to Suplex City… Is that a Jimmy Johns sandwich logo on Lesnar’s shorts?  Reins does a suicide dive, misses Lesnar, hits Strowman outside the ring, and Lesnar gives Strowman a F5. The Lesnar starts hitting Strowman with the suitcase and a chair, while he stupidly gives Reigns time to recover in the ring. He brings the chair and Reigns spears him, and gets the pin! Roman Reigns is your new Universal Champion! Braun Strowman is still down on the ground at ringside… Guess no one is going to catch those hands after all.

Tune in next time, for more snarky commentary from me!

2018 SummerSlam Predictions!

Hey everyone! I know it’s been a while, but I am back in action! To be honest, I have not been keeping up on whats going on in WWE as much as I should be, but nevertheless here are my predictions for SummerSlam!

Early odds are already out, but I don’t base my predictions on odds, I base them on personal opinions. So here goes!

Raw Tag Team Champions The B-Team vs. The Revival (Kickoff Match) – If they are careful, the B-Team can retain their championship, but one wrong move and The Revival will take advantage. I am going with the B Team to retain.

Rusev & Lana vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas & Zelina Vega (Kickoff Match)- On this glorious Rusev & Lana day, I believe we shall see this adorable
couple take the win because love conquers all.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander vs. Drew Gulak (Kickoff Match)- This match deserves to be higher up the card than the pre-show. This will be a stellar match, by WWE standards, as if these guys worked for a company that gave them more space, it would probably be a better match. I hope Alexander retains, but I have a feeling this match will end in an upset with Gulak capturing the title.

Elias to perform his greatest song at SummerSlam – Hell yeah.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The New Day- This match is going to be both fun and violent, just how I like my wrestling. I like both these teams a lot, and would love for TND to take the titles back, however, I think The Bludgeon Brothers are a brutal force to be dealt with, and are going to go above and beyond to hold on to those belts.

Finn Bálor vs. Constable Baron Corbin – I hope Bálor wipes the smirk off Corbin’s face. Sadly we all know that being the bosses pet, Corbin is going to cheat. We will see Corbin go over in this match.

United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy- I was hella disappointed at Extreme Rules… this better be better than that was. Nakamura will retain.

Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz- I think this is also going to be a good match. The Miz has come a long way, and it will be interesting to see what these guys do in the ring. I think Daniel Bryan will teach Miz a thing or two and take the win.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch (Triple Threat Match)- While I think Carmella is a fantastic wrestler on her own, that girl is screwed without Ellsworth by her side for this one. This is going to be a great match, and I am hoping that Becky Lynch walks away with the title.

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins- I like watching these guys wrestle too. This match could potentially steal the show. I think Rollins will walk away with the title.

Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens- Maybe Braun will let Kevin win again?

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey- To be real, I don’t think we will see the belt on Rousey until Wrestlemania but it would be nice. Honestly I’d like to see Rousey take this belt, then fight Lesnar for the Universal Championship as well, and beat him too.

WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe- Styles will retain… Joe bores me, but thats not news.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns- Rousey will interrupt the match and beat Lesnar for the Championship because the only way they will get Reigns over is if he fights her for the belt.

Early SummerSlam Odds and Predictions!

These odds are courtesy of 5Dimes, a sports book accepting customers worldwide.

The betting odds for Summerslam are out earlier than most PPVs and three champions have odds against successful title defenses. Roman Reigns had been in his three previous challenges to Brock Lesnar and this time is no different with Reigns being favored at -300. Roman ended up losing on each previous occasion so betting against him is tempting considering the trend.

The most favored on the card at -420 is Ronda Rousey in her challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss. Another champion listed as an underdog is Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. Dolph is being challenged by Seth Rollins with odds of -285 to regain the title.

The WWE Championship match has close odds at this point, with AJ Styles favored at only -160 to retain against Samoa Joe. Even closer odds see Smackdown Tag Team Champions, The Bludgeon Brothers favored at only -140 defending against The New Day. The +100 odds for New Day is an even bet, meaning a bettor would win whatever they bet.

In the Cruiserweight Championship match both champion Cedric Alexander and challenger Drew Gulak have odds of -120 and expect these to change somewhat by next week to project a winner. The United States Championship match on the other hand has set a definitive projection in a title retention for Shinsuke Nakamura with healthy odds of -265, the best odds of any current champion.

Because it’s a Triple Threat match, the Smackdown Women’s Championship allows the sports books to offer all three competitor as underdogs. The champion, Carmella, has the best odds at +115 against challengers Becky Lynch and Charlotte.

In non-title matches Finn Balor is favored at -170 to oust Constable Corbin, while The Miz has odds of -135 against Daniel Bryan. Worth noting is Bryan’s odds are -105, so both he and Miz are listed as underdogs currently, which is emblematic of the sports books not knowing how to call this one.
