WWE Evolution Predictions

It’s been a while since I have written an article, I am ridiculously busy with my job since moving across the country, back to the North East, and getting settled into some projects I have started.

I didn’t forget about my readers here, and I have plenty more articles to come, just getting back into the swing of writing takes time and a lot of effort on my part. Especially if I want my writing to be coherent!

So on to my blind predictions as other than clips, I haven’t had time to watch WWE in months.

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella –  I think there is going to be a Bella Screwjob on this one and somehow Nikki will go over by cheating.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair (Last Woman Standing Match)- Really looking forward to this match, I think honestly it could go to either woman, but I would like to see Becky continue to hold the title.

Trish Stratus & Lita vs. Mickie James & Alicia Fox – Trish and Lita, duh?

Historic Women’s Battle Royal Match (for a future Women’s Championship opportunity) EMBER MOON!!! Is that even a question?

Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya vs. The Riott Squad – The Riott Squad will cheat their way to victory.

NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler – New champ? Maybe. I think Baszler will take it on.

Toni Storm vs. Io Shirai (Mae Young Classic 2018 Finals) I think Toni Storm is going to take the win this year, and clearly get signed by WWE, they would be stupid not to. Toni’s fan signing lines at shows are ridiculous.

Lucha Underground Season Finale in 4DX!

On Wednesday night I went with my soon to be co-host Brandon to see the Lucha Underground Season Finale in 4DX at the Regal in DTLA. I wasn’t sure what to expect, even with knowing a little of what 4DX entails before going in.

4DX is an “Immersive Video Experience” that you can read more about on their website. It includes moving seats, water features, clouds/fog, lightning, wind and more. Most of the movies also have a 3D viewing element, which unfortunately this event did not. I enjoyed it none the less.

First of all, watching wrestling on the big screen is great. I honestly don’t know why this isn’t utilized more often as a medium, especially with all the smaller independently owned theaters we have in the US. The special part here is the technology at the Regal. They are the only US partner with the company behind 4 DX and have only 6 Theaters with 4DX, the one here in Los Angeles, two in New York, one in Seattle, and one in Orlando.

During the episode of Lucha Underground, a lot of things were triggered by what was happening on the screen. Whenever someone took a shot to the head, air shot out a hole on one side or the other of your head. When they took bumps, you felt like you got hit in the back. When someone did a hurricanrana the whole row of seats shited and spun, which was a cool effect for what you were looking at visually. When Cage got stuck in the head with the skewers, we got bled on with water. Overall the effects very much added to the entertainment factor for me, and as it seems the others who were in attendance.

I really hope they do this again with season 4, and add the visual elements as well, as there were a few times I saw that really would have looked cool if they were made to pop. Lucha Underground continues to break ground and make wrestling fun again.

Who Had The Better Reign? Okada vs Kobashi

Today on BETWrestling.com instead of doing my usual Wrestler of the Week posts, we will be taking a look at two of the greatest World Title reigns in Puroresu: Kazuchika Okada’s current run as NJPW’s IWGP Heavyweight Champion and Kenta Kobashi’s legendary 735 day reign as Pro Wrestling NOAH’s GHC Heavyweight Champion!

No Mercy 2017 Predictions

WWE No Mercy is this Sunday in Los Angeles, CA at the Staples Center! Tickets are available on StubHub and Ticket Liquidator right now, some prices are lower than Ticketmaster!

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Jason Jordan – Jason Jordan has shown some serious promise… must be in his genetics… hahaha You know when they announced he was “Kurt Angles son, I actually did the research to see if that could even make sense. It can. Jordan should be able to beat The Miz fair and Square, but this is The Miz we are talking about. The Miz will retain his title.

Finn Bálor vs. Bray Wyatt – Will the Demon Bálor come out to play for No Mercy? We can only hope! I got my money on Bálor.

Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs Cesaro & Sheamus – Cesaro and Sheamus really, really want their titles back. Ambrose and Rollins aren’t going to be that easy to beat. I have Rollins and Ambrose retaining.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs. Enzo Amore – Neville is amazing. Enzo is… hilarious. Is Neville going to be able to outsmart Enzo’s hijinks? I think Enzo may walk away with the Cruiserweight Championship.

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Nia Jax vs. Emma (Fatal 5-Way Match) NIA JAX!!!!!! Nuff said.

John Cena vs. Roman Reigns- RAW called this a “Dream Match” um WUT? I can hear the boo’s already… for both of them. Does anyone actually care about this match? I hear more people talking about Nikki Bella on Dancing with the Stars, than John Cena’s wrestling career these days. I’m sticking with Roman Reigns on this one.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman – IF BRAUN STROWMAN LOSES I RIOT!!!!

Get WWE No Mercy 2017 tickets now on StubHub or Ticket Liquidator if you are in the Los Angeles area. (If you want a fun companion, buy me one too!)
