WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 will take place on Sunday, September 16 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. This can be watched live on the WWE Network

The betting odds for Hell in a Cell are already active globally as sports books are recognizing pro wrestling as a major draw to their operations. So far 5 matches announced have odds. Right now all champions with announced matches are favored to successfully retain. The Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has healthy odds of -210 to retain over Braun Strowman in one of two Hell in a Cell matches. The other Cell match sees Randy Orton favored at -180 to beat Jeff Hardy.

AJ Styles is favored at -160 to once again retain the WWE Championship in a rematch with Samoa Joe. It is Ronda Rousey with the most favorable odds of all at -650 to retain the Raw Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss in a return match. Finally Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are favored at -350 to topple The Miz and Maryse, which makes sense with Bryan losing one on one at Summerslam to The Miz.

All matches are graded with “end of broadcast rulings” to account for any match restarts of reversal of the original result. The final announced winners by the end of the broadcast will be the odds the sports book recognizes.

Bryan’s Next Move

Much buzz has been created by the Daniel Bryan teasing that he will be wrestling again outside of the WWE next year when his contract runs out. There are actually odds on what promotion Daniel Bryan will return to the ring in. The most favorable odds are on him signing with NJPW by the end of 2018, a promotion in Japan he has expressed interest in. The current odds are 11/10, however yesterday’s odds had been 11/8 meaning many are taking the bet and feel it is a legit possibility. The line moved in a more favorable direction and is very close to an even bet because of this.

Bets may also be made on if he will appear in TNA Impact Wrestling by the end of 2018 at 10/1, which would multiply your money tenfold if he shows up in TNA even once. This would be a great boost for the restructured promotion but the odds say it won’t happen. Not surprisingly Daniel has much better odds to return to ROH, the promotion where he first made a name for himself and caused him to be noticed by the WWE. The odds of this happening before the end of 2018 are 9/4.

There are even odds on Bryan wrestling at least one match in WWE by the end of this year at 7/1. This gives Bryan a 12.5% chance of wresting by the end of the year. The situation is that he wants to wrestle but WWE will not allow him to due to his previous injuries. He is extremely frustrated about not being able to continue his passion of performing in from on live crowds and has teased going elsewhere in the past. There has also been an ongoing rivalry between The Miz and Bryan over different styles of wrestling and Bryan no longer wrestling while Miz is thriving near the top of the card.

One element that is worth mentioning is the fact that not only is Daniel Bryan married to Brie Bella, but also that they are expecting the birth of their daughter who they have already been named “Birdie Joe”. Brie has also expressed wanting more children so Bryan needs to consider that WWE is a more secure way to provide for the family he is building with Brie. His safety is also an issue and he is in such perilous condition that, as mentioned, the WWE will not let him wrestle because of this. If it were to happen, expect Bryan to return to using the name  “American Dragon” Brian Danielson due to intellectual property rights over the Daniel Bryan name.

Total Bellas Season 1 Episode 1 Full Review

Episode 1 of Season 1 for Total Bellas has finally aired with much anticipation, shining the proverbial spotlight on the lavish lifestyles of The Bella Twins. Nikki and Brie Bella aren’t the only over the top characters in this colorful ensemble as those most important in their lives are featured as well.

John Cena has a pivotal role as Nikki Bella’s girlfriend and the plot of the show revolves around Cena’s house rules that come along with the gang living in the guest house of his luxurious mansion. “Big Match” John’s cribs is adorned with only the finest furnishings.

Circling back to Cena’s rules of his house, which comes about when Brie Bella and her husband Daniel Bryan, along with The Bella’s brother A.J. Agree to move in to care for Nikki after neck surgery. Cena has such mandates as the whole family meeting for morning coffee and a formal dinner every Friday night. This led to the first of many “Downton Abbey” references throughout the episode, an element that occurred with Nikki Bella regularly on Total Divas which is archived on the WWE Network. Daniel and Brie arrive to the first formal dressed formally but barefoot. John has a rule that footwear is not to be worn in his home, but lectures the couple that shoes are required.

John Laurinaitis seems to take Cena’s house rules in stride. Does he think it’s all just a rib or is it because he is not actually staying there so he can chuckle at the misery the others must contend with? He lives nearby Cena with new wife Kathy Colace, who also happens to the mother of The Bellas and AJ. Laurinaitus is a former pro wrestler who competed as Johnny Ace, served as the WWE Raw GM and even had a feud with John Cena.

During the aforementioned formal dinner Brie mentions how she’d like to have children but she would need to have sex in order for that to happen. This was a shocking admission that was initially met with awkward silence before turning into a rational discussion. Brie mentions that their intimacy is often interrupted when Josie, their dog, wants to snuggle with them. Ironic as hours before this episode aired Bryan and Brie announced that they are expecting their first child.

Speaking of Josie, John Cena is not happy when he gets bit by Josie and after firmly declaring that it couldn’t happen again suggests that animal control be called to take Josie away. It wasn’t much more than a nip and Cena is overselling for Josie and having her put to sleep seems a cruelly drastic measure. John doesn’t allow Josie in the main home and confines her to the guest house Daniel and Brie are staying in. He can’t tolerate the pooch’s shedding in his mansion.

In the closing scene Brie and Daniel express their feelings on John’s house rules. They are there voluntarily to care for Nikki and they are walking on eggshells with Cena’s confounded rules. John doesn’t budge as the control freak must have things his way. Nothing on this front is resolved and future episodes are pregnant with possibility of ensuing drama.
