It is almost time for this years Summerslam will be held on July 30th, 2022 LIVE in Nashville, Tennessee at the Nissan Stadium. This is the 35th annual Summerslam, and will included WWE Superstars from both RAW and Smackdown and there already have been a few matches announced for this years event. There have been four matches announced so far, and as always the card is subject to change!
Pat McAfee vs. Happy Corbin
The heat between these two has been growing over the past few months, but they have a long standing history together as they were actually roommates when they played in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts. Obviously their relationship didn’t hold up well over time. Hopefully McAfee can cash the checks his mouth has been writing.
WWE US Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Theory
Bobby Lashley beat Theory for the US title at Money In The Bank. Theory thinks he will easily regain the title, but Bobby Lashley is very fired up. Let’s if Theory is as great of a fighter as he thinks he is.
WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship: The Usos (c) vs. The Street Profits
The Street Profits have been chasing the tag team gold again since they made it to the main WWE roster from NXT. These young men have shown incredible talent in the ring, and have had many a close call with The Uso’s. Will they crack the code and take home the gold at Summerslam?
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
In a major upset at Money In The Bank, Liv Morgan cashed in the MITB Briefcase she won. She did this after Ronda Rousey beat Natalya, retaining the title. Liv came out and fought Rousey in a very short match as Rousey had just finished a tough match, and wasn’t quite ready to take on a refreshed Liv Morgan. Will Liv be able to retain her title against Rousey when she rested and ready?
WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar has returned from the Farm to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship. Who will walk away the champion is anyone’s guess!

The Road To Wrestlemania continues today with WWE Fastlane. My predictions are based on my own views of wrestling and how it is presented by WWE. I also do not read the odds before posting my predictions. So here goes!
WWE Championship Match
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kevin Owens – I think Daniel Bryan will retain. Especially since WWE would be stupid not to capitalize off the Daniel Bryan vs Kofi heat, which seems to be the only thing in the men’s division people have really gotten invested in this year.
RAW Women’s Championship Qualifier
Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair — If Becky wins, she will be added to the Raw Women’s Championship Match at WrestleMania – If Becky loses we riot!
Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Shield vs. Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin – The Sheild… Unless they murder each other.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection (c) vs. Nia Jax & Tamina – I really would like to see the belts on Nia and Tamina. It would be great to see them walking into Wrestlemania with the titles. But at the same time, WWE knows the B N H Connection appeals to little girls. Will they see their hero’s fall tonight?
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. The Miz & Shane McMahon – Why? I would like to see the Uso’d retain to take on a real team at Mania.
SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Asuka (c) vs. Mandy Rose – Are they still doing the Mandy Rose is a homewrecker storyline? if so, it would be nice to see her win by cheating so Naomi can kick her ass at Wrestlemania.
Raw Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match
The Revival (c) vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. Bobby Roode & Chad Gable – This match sounds fun. I would love to see the belts on Alester Black and Ricochet, however, the Revival will most likely retain.
Fastlane Kickoff Match
The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev – This also sounds fun. Whose day will it be? I am going with the New Day, unless Daniel Bryans lackey Rowan goes after Kofi, which could very likely happen.
Fastlane Kickoff Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade – the crowd wins. WHY IS THIS A KICKOFF MATCH? Andrade is going to win because he is a dirty cheater, but really this match will be one of tonight’s more energetic matches.

On the day before The Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, only one of the seven championships on the line project the champion to retain. Even then it’s worth noting that Roman Reigns, while still favored, has seen his odds shorten in his challenge for the Universal Championship held by Brock Lesnar. Last week Roman was favored at -700, but now he is only at -305. Also, since the Raw Tag Team Championship is vacant, there is no possibility for the titles to be retained. The former champions, Cesaro and Sheamus however, are huge underdogs against their opponents, Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, who are favored at -1050, the best odds out of anyone on this event. With Cesaro and Sheamus now on Smackdown and this being for the Raw Tag Titles, these odds are easy to believe.
The Undertaker has very good odds of -900 to defeat Rusev in a casket match and John Cena has respectable odds of -230 to best Triple H. For the actual Greatest Royal Rumble Match itself, Braun Strowman still has the best odds and these have moved even more in his favor to +105, whereas they had been +500 previously. According to the odds the only entrant that would have a chance is Daniel Bryan at +220.
A brief explanation of how to read these odds easily – The minus sign represents the favorite while the plus sign indicates an underdog. The number after the plus or minus tells us how much of an underdog or favorite that particular competitor is.

It’s that time again! Sorry I have been really busy and not writing as much as I should be! I recently launched a new podcast about wrestling on an all-new internet radio station. I’ve been so busy I almost forgot the PPV was this Sunday!
So here are my thoughts on the matches as they stand as of today:
Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley – MOJO!!!!!!! Need I say more?
Breezango vs. The Bludgeon Brothers – Oh Breezango, what have you gotten yourselves into? I think that Harper and Rowan are going to murder them.
United States Champion Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler (Triple Threat Match) – I am so looking forward to this match!!! All these guys are great wrestlers, and are hard-hitting wrestlers. I think that Bobby Roode does have the ability to take the belt away from Corbin, however, I don’t think it will happen in a 3-way match, especially where Ziggler is involved.
Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees) – Sigh. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY???? While I am sure this match will have its moment’s and I like all the guys involved, WHY??? Someone tell Owen and Zayn they are 6 years too late on the Occupy hype train, that crashed and burned 3 years ago fools. Lame. I don’t care who wins… this is stupid, fire whoever wrote this garbage, not Zayn and Owens.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable vs. Rusev & Aiden English (Fatal 4-Way Match) – I am so happy to see Shelton Benjamin back in action, even if he does have to team with Gable… (ha!) I think this match is gonna be your typical clusterfuck 4 way tag, with lots of broken bodies. The Uso’s will most likely retain…
SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya (Lumberjack Match) – This match is going to be awesome! I love watching both these women wrestle, but sorry Charlotte, I gotta go with Nattie on this one! Get that title back on your waist where it belongs!!!
WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal – Sigh…. why? Wrestling was getting interesting again, and then we got slapped in the face with a momentum stopping bitchslap. I really don’t want to watch the same people wrestle again and again and again. Jinder lost… he is a cheater, and does he really deserve a rematch? Nah they won’t give us Styles vs Nakamura yet… But I would have much rather watched him wrestle Rusev than Mahal again. AJ will retain the championship, or WWE may be attempting to incite a riot in Boston.
While this is a “Smackdown” branded PPV, I am not as excited for it as I usually would be. The highlights of this PPV will be the women’s match and the tag team clusterfuck for me.

This Sunday is Survivor Series live at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas! Tickets are still available from StubHub and Ticket Liquidator, so get them now as they are sure to sell out!
The matches have shifted quite a bit since their announcements as we have two new Champions, as AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair replace Jinder Mahal and Natalya in their respective champion vs champion matchups. I am also super sad they released James Ellsworth, and if you share my sentiment, you should use the hashtag #BringBackEllsworth
So here are my thoughts on the matches as they stand as of the time of this writing!
Edit: 2 more matches announced, which i saw on nodq.com
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs Breezango (Pre-Show): Breeeeeeeezango! What more needs to be said?
Elias Sampson vs Matt Hardy (Pre-Show): I hope this is a sing off. No really, I do. I also think Matt will win with help from Jeff who will run in from the crowd.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
Enzo Amore (C) vs. Kalisto (Kickoff Match): We have already seen these two fight it out, and I think this will be an enjoyable match. Since people seem to truly despise Enzo in an out of the ring these days, there is a good chance he will retain the title.
Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. United States Champion Baron Corbin: This is going to be a great match. I love Baron Corbin, and think he moves incredibly well for a big guy, and this is a great matchup. The outcome will be based on whether or not the Miztorage is at ringside. If they interfere, The Miz could be victorious. But who knows, Corbin may be smart enough to stomp them out early, leaving The Miz to fight on his own… My heart says Corbin, but my gut says The Miz.
Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos: Really Looking forward to this match. I think it’s going to be a lot of fast-paced fun, with some huge tag team moves. I think Cesaro and Sheamus will take this one.
The Shield vs. The New Day: The Sheild is reunited once more, now that Roman Reigns has returned, but will their newly rekindled alliance be enough to overcome the incredible bond The New Day has built. I am going to be unpopular and say The New Day will be victorious.
Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair: I really wanted to see Nattie tear Bliss apart, so now I guess we get to see Charlotte do it instead. Charlotte… duh
Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW: Sasha Banks, Asuka, Alicia Fox, Nia Jaxx, Bayley
Team Smackdown: Naomi, Becky Lynch, Tamina, Carmella, and a 5th woman TBA:
BRING BACK PAIGE ALREADY YOU FOOLS! On that note, the 5th woman from team Smackdown could really make this… Not really sure which team will take this, but wth the current line up, I think team RAW may have this one…
Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW: Kurt Angle, HHH, Jason Jordan, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman
Team Smackdown: John Cena, Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Rhoode:
WHY DO WE HAVE TO SEE HHH AND SHANE IN THE SAME FUCKING MATCH? Is Stephanie going to be the secret 5th woman… UGH Its like those marks who buy a company to put themselves over… on that note… team RAW will probably win just because they have Strowman.
Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion AJ Styles (Champion vs. Champion Match) I don’t want to watch this match. Mostly because I still hate Lesnar, because he is boring and a shitty champ. And honestly its going to be a struggle for him to be in a believable match with Styles, who can wrestle circles around him. I say Styles, cause fuck Lesner.Overall I am Looking forward to the show, no matter the snarky tone I get when I write about the matches. With illness striking the WWE roster leading to major changes in key matches for TLC on the WWE Network, sportsbooks have scrambled to get new odds out to reflect the shuffling. Kurt Angle replacing Roman Reigns in the 3 on 5 TLC match still has the 3 man team as the favorite, but less so than when Roman was in the match. Yesterday The Shield was favored at -530, but now the new team is only at -380. To put this in perspective, Asuka, who was favored at an impressive -1500 is now even more heavily favored at -2750.
Bray Wyatt has been replaced by AJ Styles against Finn Balor, and the change of opponent didn’t effect the odds very much. Before the change Finn was favored at -215 and this dropped marginally to -210. The only other shift worth noting is that the team of Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann are now favored in their match against Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick. This match was very close to begin with and now both are listed as underdogs, which is not uncommon when the sportsbooks can’t call it, so right now it’s a “pick em’”.
3 on 5 TLC Match
Kurt Angle, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose -380 vs The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, Kane +260
“The Demon”(Finn Balor) -210 vs AJ Styles +210
WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss(c) -270 vs Mickie James +190
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Kalisto(c) +260 vs Enzo Amore -380
